Sony keeps dancing around the subject of cost on their end, leading many to believe that an increase is coming, possibly $69.99. I really can't see them attempting to go to market against MS with $10 higher priced games though, so I'm sure we will get the same on both.

Also, for anyone interested, Amazon has the "Day One" Edition available for Pre-Order again. It was unavailable the other day.
Is it true that retail stores will be limited to 10 consoles on launch day? |

I haven't read about anyone thinking PS4 games will be close to $70 a pop, but there's no way they're going to be more expensive than the industry standard $59.99. It's been like that since the NES days.
N64 games were generally $50 - $69 with some reaching $80. Hell, Road Rash and Shadow of the Empire were roughly $70. Dark Rift was $79.99. This of course ignores the Neo Geo ever existed. |

A nice read on Double Helix and Killer Instinct, particularly about the concerns that it isn't Rare working on it and the "free to play" aspect.

Also, this whole MICROSOFT HATES THE TROOPS bullshit? Fuck right off with that bullshit argument. |
Re: Xbox One: This Thread Requires An Always On Internet Connection
That's to be expected, the same thing happens on Steam. (Which is why so many people are afraid of using Russian game keys, Steam bans for that - at which point you lose all your games.)

My original Xbox got banned from live before for having a modded 360. The (Alanis Morissette definition of) irony being I never actually played a pirated game on it, and got banned because I bought Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 a couple days before street. Thankfully the $99 Xbox deal was going on at Walmart during that time. |

These are the people that get banned by accident and can't get their accounts restored because it's against policy to re-instate accounts.

well to be fair in the past if you got banned you still owned your games. Now if you get banned you lose your games also.

Microsoft Apologizes For Xbox Live Ban On Gay Gamertags Those are just from a quick search. I know there have also been several other cases of individual users who were wrongly banned or suspended and were only able to get the punishment reversed after a great deal of effort. |

for every step forward MS takes with information, something else comes out and it's two steps backwards.

Have they said whether the new Kinect is wireless or wired?

This...I find it interesting there seems to be way more questions on various topics and concerns than over in the PS4 area which is on games and even the PS3. And the story about the military being screwed along with other gamers with the on-line connection deal is another strike against MS. It just seems they made a console with certain gamers and not for everyone...which is the way it should've been made. Far more hoops to jump through along with stipulations than it was with the 360 and even with the PS4. |
