I haven't read about anyone thinking PS4 games will be close to $70 a pop, but there's no way they're going to be more expensive than the industry standard $59.99. It's been like that since the NES days.

Also, for anyone interested, Amazon has the "Day One" Edition available for Pre-Order again. It was unavailable the other day.

Is it true that retail stores will be limited to 10 consoles on launch day?

Naw. It was generally $49.99 or less for the Playstation, PS2, Gamecube, Dreamcast, Saturn era. It really wasn't until the 360 that $59.99 games made a come back.

N64 games were generally $50 - $69 with some reaching $80. Hell, Road Rash and Shadow of the Empire were roughly $70. Dark Rift was $79.99.

This of course ignores the Neo Geo ever existed.

The new system sucks. Just let me pay one price for the game. Quit making things so damn complicated. Everything doesn't have to be free.

But... you can just pay one price for the game. That's pretty much what the season pass thing would be.

here's the kotaku article I read recently about how they won't answer the price question yet, which is kind of odd.

That's to be expected, the same thing happens on Steam. (Which is why so many people are afraid of using Russian game keys, Steam bans for that - at which point you lose all your games.)

These are the people that get banned by accident and can't get their accounts restored because it's against policy to re-instate accounts.

My original Xbox got banned from live before for having a modded 360. The (Alanis Morissette definition of) irony being I never actually played a pirated game on it, and got banned because I bought Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 a couple days before street.

Thankfully the $99 Xbox deal was going on at Walmart during that time.

Might be. But with all the things about the One to get outraged about, what happens to you when you get banned isn't one of them.

The situation you described is not an accident.

I have to wonder if they are getting more stock than expected or if they added cancelled orders back into the system.

well to be fair in the past if you got banned you still owned your games. Now if you get banned you lose your games also.

The game pre-orders on Amazon seem to be $59.99 for both of the coming consoles.

Those are just from a quick search. I know there have also been several other cases of individual users who were wrongly banned or suspended and were only able to get the punishment reversed after a great deal of effort.

This...I find it interesting there seems to be way more questions on various topics and concerns than over in the PS4 area which is on games and even the PS3.

And the story about the military being screwed along with other gamers with the on-line connection deal is another strike against MS. It just seems they made a console with certain gamers and not for everyone...which is the way it should've been made. Far more hoops to jump through along with stipulations than it was with the 360 and even with the PS4.

There is a Kinect input on the back of the ONE.

Maybe too much data to stream?
