If you're just playing the story missions, its MUCH easier. The strikes can be difficult, but those are meant to be played with a full fire team. I don't even think you can play those solo, it matches you with randoms if you're not already playing with friends.

by the way the greatest part of the cave is after awhile of shooting in there I love the colorful glow you can see coming from in there from a distance .... also pretty fun to see all the rewards littered on the ground when you go in

Played some Clash missions and whatnot and one thing that's annoying is that when you're the only level 21 player with 8's and 9's. It's like there's no way we're winning this shit.

Now that my Warlock is level 22, I'm hoping I get some good Titan drops since he's also 22. I'll probably get Hunter gear since mine is only a level 8.

Someone needs to do a cave shirt using the destiny font. It's kind of funny that a lot of people bitched that the universe wasn't large enough, yet people are spending hours outside of one stupid cave, myself included. If that cave has any more loads shot into it, it'll get a Brazzers contract.

If they ever patch it, they can bring it back from time to time in place of a double xp weekend. :lol:

Just got my 6th legendary weapon for my level 26 Warlock, and I have 1 exotic. This one was a reward for getting Vanguard to rank 3. All my gear is legendary with 1 exotic as well. I've done zero cave farming on this character. It takes time and effort, but the means to get this stuff is available in the game, and you don't have to pray to the random number gods to get it. At least, not all the time.

I do however understand why people are doing the cave thing. I haven't done it for loot, but I have done it to power level my 2 alternate class characters. It's great for XP if nothing else.

I plan on power leveling my other 2 characters there now. I was annoyed there by one random who wouldn't move completely behind the rock. I kept pointing and punching before I finally had to message him to stand farther back.

I'll admit I went there for awhile just to get some better stuff for the Strike and Hard areas but don't think I'm going back......This "Cave" is about as bad as that Omega Rose Shield in Borderlands making you invincible.

what makes the cave any different from doing the same missions/levels over and over again?

Yeah, I mean, why farm the cave to level up a 2nd or 3rd character quickly when I can play the same missions and strikes over and over again that I already did for 20 hours with my 1st character.

If they want people to move away from farming, make the drops for strikes better. As of right now they suck IMO.

This! If the story missions were cool to play through multiple times or strikes didn't have bosses that are basically bullet sponges then I would be alright with it. However, none of it amounts to things that I want to do multiple times to level up and get their ridiculously randomized loot drops.
