Yeah, it works, but you'd almost have to have a DS4 dedicated to the PS3 so you don't have to re-associate it all the time. It's also a bit bothersome if a game used the "select" button a lot (like BF).

I hooked one up for BFBC2, and I was wrecking shop with the shooting, but it was a pain to mark because I think it used the share button for select.

The patrols take you into all the areas where the missions are, so all the other people you see might just be patrolling or whatever. Once you get into the heart of the mission (the part where you get the spawn restriction), you won't see any random knuckleheads.

Anyone know what the "Yellow" items are and where they come from? I was looking at a Level 26 Titan's loadout last night and he had a 1050 Defense. He had Two Purple Legendary Weapons, Two Purple Legendary Outfit pieces but also had (1) Yellow shotgun and (1) Yellow Gauntlet Armor pc that had 350 Defense alone.

Yes, I've actually played with folks that I found in solo missions. I abandoned my mission and followed them - we had to take out swarms, a tank, and one of them thar purple eyeball things. Easier with three people.

Those are Epic items. I saw a vendor in the tower selling them once, but I haven't seen him since. Not sure if he's a random encounter. No idea how to get them otherwise.

Edit: sorry, Exotic, not epic.

In 10 words or less tell me if this game is a rent or buy.

It's a buy next year.

Finally levels up to 20 and am still plowing through Mars. All of the Strike missions have opened up along with two special ones that are on the left hand of space map screen - they're emblems of some kind and I can see two other ones that I have not yet unlocked.

I could agree with this.

Or rent for a weekend and then buy next year if content fills it out more.

Which is a cool idea, if it wasn't limited to 4 people. Maybe if it was 20-30 people in the same world.

You sure it's only 4? I feel like I have definitely seen more than that in an area.

Pretty sure, isn't that the max for everything co-op related? Whatever the number is, it's too low. They need to restrict the people to the same mission or patrol.

So, to sum up the complaints on the last page or so:

1. There are too many people running around in the game world
2. There aren't enough people running around in the game world

Bungie -- FIX IT!

Har har har.

Here, since you are having difficulty comprehending the issue.

The player counts WOULD be fine, if it was people on the same mission. Since that isn't the case, it means there aren't enough people in a game.

Do you work for Bungie? If so, that might explain things.

You've gotta rise above it. You've got to harness in the good energy, block out the bad. Harness. Energy. Block. Bad. Feel the flow. Feel it. It's circular. Its like a carousel. You pay the quarter, you get on the horse. It goes up and down and around. Circular. Circle. With the music. The flow. All good things.

Yes, in the single-player game

Yes, in the multi-player game

the only multi-player now is the 6 team 'control' ? what happened to the 3v3 scavenge? or some other 3v3? I am confused.

I read somewhere that Scavenge is a weekend event. Not sure why it can't be available all the time. I thought it was a better game mode than control.

Yes, those are Exotic items, and they're the hardest to get in the game (as if Legendary wasn't already hard enough to get).

There's a very (very) small chance you can get one as a random reward in the post-game of a strike or PvP. There's a very (very) small chance the Cryptarch can give you one when you trade in a Legendary (purple) engram once you level him up enough.

You can also buy one from the vendor mentioned above, who is only in the tower on Fridays and Saturdays. You'll need to do lots of farming for Strange Coins and possibly other rare materials in order to be able to afford one.

The third way is by randomly receiving an Exotic bounty when you go to turn in other finished bounties. You'll get a choice of 3 gold bounties, each of which will give you an Exotic weapon at the end. I got one of these today. But wait! You'll have to work for that weapon. A lot. Here's a list of some of the things you have to do to complete the Exotic bounties, and keep in mind that you'll have to do several of these to finish one bounty:

1. Complete a Weekly heroic strike
2. Complete 25 strikes (yes, 25 - this is one of the requirements for the one I received today)
3. Dismantle 10 rare or higher weapons (of a particular kind)
4. Complete 5 strikes without dying
5. Earn a K/D spread of 25 in the Crucible (meaning 25 more kills than deaths)
6. Kill 500 enemies using a particular kind of damage (Void, etc.)

So, have fun! Or not.
