Ah, PS4 can be played on a Vita without being connected to a monitor. DAGGER!

Purchased the Digital Guardian edition on PS3 to take advantage of the Dual console bonus. Currently downloading on PS3 as I am typing this. So far the PS4 has no belief in the existence of the Digital version on it. Anyone Know why?

If anyone is buying this at Target, there's a 10% off cartwheel coupon. $5.00 gift card for reserving plus the cartwheel, plus 5% red card is pretty good.

Big difference being that my power hasn't gone out in years, while my internet goes out about ever other month.

You have to wait till midnight on 9/9 to do the upgrade. Right now it's pre-ordered, but the game isn't out yet, so there's nothing to upgrade at the moment.

Not correct. You can play couch co-op horde mode.

sorry this is not true

if you are not online the first prompt you will get when you launch the game is "Connection: You must be signed in to PSN to continue"

it is also clearly stated on the cover art "Online Play and Playstation Plus Required"

Well if the PS Store doesn't release this till 12 Midnight PDT like the official site is showing then I'll just wait till in the morning to play. No way I'm firing the game up at 2am. I'd rather start off fresh and this will allow me to at least get all three characters set, built and past the intro. Plus I need to go thru the list and add some on my friends list.

Just got my pickup confirmation for my Ghost Edition

I'm still thinking about taking a half day (or even a full day) off work tomorrow and hitting up the midnight release tonight and going home to play for a couple hours.

Microsoft clearly filled the halls of Bungie with their employees before they split away from the Halo gig, just to deliver this online-only dagger to PS4 fans. Pretty sneaky, sis.

So is this online-only warning on a sticker on the cellophane? Because I don't see it on any of the actual artwork.

Online only isn't the dagger since most people seem to care about it more in principle than they do in practice.

The real coup for MS is the free upgrade. A lot of people will buy Destiny on their 360s, and I'd imagine a free Destiny upgrade will be a great incentive to stay with Xbox and buy an Xbone.

So what's the best deal going right now for this? I didn't preorder, but I plan on picking it up within the first week.

I'd say PSN/XBL cards from Target (buy one get one 25% off) and preorder Digital Guardian edition for last gen right off of PSN/XBL, which gets you a free upgrade to current gen.

Out of pocket should be about $80 for both generations and the first two DLC packs.

If you have the Best Buy Gamers Club, it's 20% off and you get a $10 reward cert on top of that if you buy it before tomorrow.

This is the kind of game that begs for a "free weekend for EVERYONE with PS+ and XBL Gold" in about a month from now. Get stragglers like me hooked on it. For now, I'm holding out until I see what some of you real people think about the full game and/or if some of my XBL buddies pick it up.

Rec'd mine as well for LE! Two of em. Extra one for a buddy but he hasn't paid me yet. So, off to eBay to make some $ if he doesn't pay. :D

How would that work? That would be a shit ton of people downloading a 20GB+ game for a weekend.

Just got my pick up notice. Actually two notices. An email from Best Buy saying to pick it up tomorrow and a text telling me it's ready for pick up now. What to do, what to do....

Even I can't argue with a $350 Destiny bundle...and with free Madden to boot.

MS is really pulling out all the stops for Destiny week/month. I'd love to see everybody's (Activision/Sony/MS) internal market analysis for this game. Must be huge.
