While I've taken a bit of a vacation to the sunny shores of Los Santos, my Xur Report will be back as usual. And with all the fun Bungie is having with the data miners, maybe it'll be compelling...or just the same as the prediction.

OK, so here we go with this week's Xur Report, brought to you by Grand Theft Auto V. When you've run out of things to do in Destiny, come back to Los Santos and cap a few asses.

As was mentioned earlier in the thread, Bungie threw a curve ball to the data miners out there and successfully hid Xur's inventory. Well, they threw another one with this week's deals, which are completely different than the list that was leaked a couple weeks ago. It's...interesting.

Xur is located in central tower, over by the guardian table.

For the Titan, it's An Insurmountable Skullfort Helmet. It's good for Hard Crota as it lets you pick up orbs to regain health. Plus, it looks cool.
For the Hunter, it's the Knucklehead Radar Helmet. It gives you radar while aiming with all primary weapons. Good for PVP, not so much for PVE.
For the Warlock, it's the Claws Of Ahamkara gauntlets. Gives you an extra melee charge. Meh.
The engram this week is for helmets.
Heavy ammo is back again! Stock the fuck up!
This week's telemetry: Scout Rifle, Machine Gun, Rocket Launcher
The weapon this week is Red Death. Another good item for Hard Crota. The perk for this gun is that for every kill, your health is immediately refilled. Also, with the buff to pulse rifles, this gun is a beast in PVP. Xur has sold it twice before, but the last time it was offered was Week 4. It was also the first gun that Xur ever sold. So like I said...interesting.

Upgrades:

For the Hunter, it's the Mask Of The Third Man Helmet and Lucky Raspberry chest. The Third man is here for the 3rd straight week, and is still a really good roll of 122. It's just a bit lower than the last 2 weeks (127, 125). The Raspberry is a great roll of 160.

For the Titan, it's the Helm Of Saint-14 and Helm Of Inmost Light helmets. The Saint-14 has a great roll of 124, better than what he sold last week. The Inmost Light is rather weak at 96.

For the Warlock, it's the Light Beyond Nemesis Helmet and Sunbreakers. The LBN is a great roll of 126 (I bought it for a +19 upgrade). Sunbreakers are a low roll once again.

So there we go. A decent weapon, a good helmet and heavy ammo. Not a bad Xur week.

Also inventory leaked for the Iron Banner. If At least this time if I don't mange to catch it at reset, I only have to grind to lvl 4, The auto rifle looks very similar to AE, not sure if thats worth the grind.

I might actually venture in and pick up the Red Death since I don't have it. I already have the Helmets and still have around 120 coins despite not playing in three weeks.

I'll probably pick this up today. Now watch me get a Raid Helmet running HM with my 31 Hunter this weekend.

I'll definitely grab a Red Death since Suros Regime's health regen is spotty at best.

Isn't this the first time they have offered the upgrade for the Red Death as well? I only have a hand full of exotics, but I'm pretty sure this is the only one that still caps out at 300 instead of 331 (or whatever it is)

just realized with the time zone change that means if I wanted the chance to glitch into the IB at the reset to get stuff with my level 5 character I would now need to be on at 4:00 am CT ..... urghhhhhh

It wouldn't work this time anyway. I learned that this week with the saves.

Basically, you get reset at 2AM whether you log out or not. I could still load a save before the reset and sit there as usual, or have someone else come in, but once it hit 2AM I lost the Oracle save and couldn't load it even though I hadn't logged out. I'm sure the IB stuff would work the same.

Strikes will get you to 31, which is all you need if you're not doing the raid. Even if you end up doing the raid on Normal, 31 w/ maxed weapons is good enough if you find an experienced group.

They're also adding audio mix options...finally!

Not that it matters much with party chat, but anytime I have to use in game chat, the mix is awful. It's even worse with my plug-in headset.

And they said they may talk about vault space next week.

Xur is interesting this week as he brings us a brand new item, as well as the return of a couple of useful others.

Xur is located in North Tower, in front of the big door across from the Speaker.

For the Titan, it's the Mk. 44 Stand Asides. Meh. If you like running around like a little pussy in crucible with shoulder charge active, you'll love these! Otherwise, they're pretty much a waste. The roll is awful compared to when he's sold them before.

For the Hunter, it's the Mask Of The Third Man Helmet. Perfect for Hard Crota and bladedancers, this one will let your bladedancer moves use less super energy, and best of all, it will let you regain health from orbs. The roll sucks, but it's still a very useful item.

For Warlocks, it's the Apothoesis Veil Helmet. This one shares the health from orbs benefit of the Third Man, and it will also regenerate your health when you use your super. So again, perfect for Hard Crota. The roll is decent.

The Engram this week is for helmets.

The weapon is week is one of the rarest in the game, since Xur has never sold it before...the Hard Light Auto Rifle. It's a halfway decent weapon, shoots fast but stable. Not a huge amount of impact, but better than say the Necrochasm. The perks aren't great, though glass half full is decent. It also looks and sounds cool. If you have the extra coinage and vault space, it's worth a pickup.

Upgrades:

For the Hunter, it's the Mask Of The Third Man Helmet and Lucky Raspberry Chest. The third man is offered for the 4th week in a row and is worse than the previous 3. The Raspberry is decent, but not great.

For the Titan, it's An Insurmountable Skullfort Helmet and Crest Of Alpha Lupi Chest. The Helmet is a terrible roll while the chest is excellent.

For the Warlock, it's the Skull Of Dire Ahamkara Helmet and Heart Of The Praxic Fire Chest. The Skull is a shitty roll and the Praxic Fire is not good either.

Great. Another dumb oversight, but it's one a lot of games make. Imagine playing this game and not being able to tell a blue shield from a purple shield except from memory.

And while I appreciate the improvement, there's no reason to play this game more. :p

Finally get to buy something from Xur besides heavy. Now only missing 2 exotic weapons, well 4, but 2 that I have the ability to acquire(I would never be able to get Invective or Thorn, I am just too terrible at PvP). Now I just need Thunderlord and Hawkmoon. If the rumor about Xur for next week is true, then Ill only be missing one.

Oh hey, might pick up the Warlock helm. Sharded my old one so I wouldn't be tempted to upgrade it.
