I'm dying to find out where my PS4 shipped from. The thing didn't make a move on Amazon till around 6pm last night. Of course once it said Shipped it gave me no tracking info the rest of the night. It just updated a few minutes ago and I guess the system is in New Stanton, PA which is about 20 minutes from me. I hope to god my XBOX One makes such a speedy journey like this next week.

The only progress on mine is that a shipping label was printed. No other info. Bad feels...

Mine shipped from Campbellsville, KY at around 10pm tonight. Still says I should have if tomorrow here in SC. We shall see...

Network connection issues.... go figure

Sure enough, 1 AM on the East Coast and the network chugs to a crawl. I'm getting kicked out of my SINGLE PLAYER game of Killzone due to PSN network problems. Didn't take long to crash this thing, did it?
Man, it was so smooth a couple of hours ago...

You need to be connected to the network for a single player campaign? I thought they did away with that shit.

I don't think you do, but somehow the unsteady network connection is causing the game to glitch I guess. The single player game has an online lobby in the main menu like Halo 4 did.

I spent about 2 hours playing Knack tonight. I like it much better than most reviewers did. It's a lot of fun and does play a good bit like Crash Bandicoot. I'm glad I decided to keep it after reviews started coming out. Really liking Contrast too. And Killzone is some mighty fine eye candy.

Was at Walmart getting some groceries tonight. About seven people in pajamas and on lawn chairs sitting in the electronics section. A steady stream of people trickling in, though. I told my wife they were easy to spot

I wonder if Uncharted will be someone other then Drake.

Well my games finally moved to Shipping Now. I guess that means no chance at a Friday arrival for those. Still, if they ship out Friday I'll have them Monday. Good enough.

PS4 still sits in Vernon, waiting its late night ride to Anaheim.

I am doing just that. Got signed in for about 3 minutes then kicked off.

Controller is gonna take some getting used to, I am constantly pressing the touchpad button when I try to press start.

How does the lack of traditional Select and Start buttons work on the PS4, BTW? I guess that Options button is used for today's Select duties such as inventory or a map, and I suppose developers just make sure the game stops since there's no dedicated button to pause. I can't remember the last time I actually pressed Start to start a game (other than Virtual Console stuff), and Select was a relic from the days of very simple menus.

Although they'll still need to do something about older games that depended on them. The simplest thing would be the split the touchpad into left and right zones.

Finally, my PS4 has reached Orange County! It is sitting less than 5 miles away from me right now, but will probably take 16 hours or more to arrive. I really hate the last leg of delivery...

Mine's out for delivery. With any luck, it'll be here by noon or 1 so I can run home for lunch, set it up and have Resogun & Contrast downloading while I'm back at work for the afternoon.
