I can't believe we're only a week away. I'd probably be much more into it if I wasn't so damn addicted to FF14. That game has consumed my not at work life.

Got by a BB today and had a chance to try the new controller and give Knack a try. And didn't have people breathing down my neck either so I had time to take it in....
On the controller with little I was able to do (Knack demo only) I thought it felt pretty good with the grips about just right in size and spacing. Since playing with XBox controllers since 2002 I was worried it would feel "tiny"...but not at all. The two "R & L" controller knobs felt good though I wish they were a tab bigger in diameter. Response and feel seemed dead on.
On Knack...I actually thought it looked really good. Mind you it's animation so while the color spectrum is large the contrast is differnt from say Killzone and Driveclub. I could only handle about 5-6 minutes though...I'm use to playing about 9ft away from the set..not 2-3ft. i did replay a few areas ansd just stopped to admire some of the details and lighting...really looked good.
Was disappointed though no Killzone at all, not even footage considering this is probably now the flagship launch title. I would've rather seen some actual game footage from Killzone, Driveclub, Need For Speed and added Resogun. Seeing actaul game play on those titles alone would've blown some people away.
On a side note I didn't get to mess with the Xbox One though. And strange...they had half the box covered by the display (backside) while the whole PS4 was out there. Even with the 360 display the whole console could be seen. Wonder if it had something to do with "The Brick" being seen?

For those of you pre-ordered from Newegg, you probably got this e-mail:
I think I'm going to pay $10 for the shipping upgrade, FRIDAY!!! No lines, no driving, no risk of getting robbed (except the delivery guy)
Dear Valued Customer,
We are excited to announce that your pre-order for the PlayStation 4 will ship soon! The official release date for the PlayStation 4 is Friday, November 15, 2013; however, we will begin shipping pre-orders on Thursday, November 14, 2013.
You will receive a tracking e-mail on Thursday, November 14th. The shipping method included in your order will be 3 day air service unless you have paid for an expedited shipping method. For example, if you chose Next Day service, it is likely your package will arrive on Friday, November 15th. Pre-orders with 3 Day service will likely arrive on or before Tuesday, November 19th.
We would like to offer you a fantastic opportunity to upgrade your pre-order to Next Day Shipping Service for the price of $9.99! Simply contact Newegg Customer Service via telephone at 800-390-1119 with your pre-order number and ask to upgrade your shipping to Next-Day. This request must be made before 12 noon PT Wednesday, November 13. Because this is a pre-order and there is no way to discount the price initially, you will be charged the full amount for the Next Day Shipping Cost ($38.68) when your pre-order is transferred into a new sales order. Once your new order is invoiced, we will issue a refund for the difference. The refund will appear back to your original form of payment within 3 to 5 business days. If your pre-order already has Next Day service, you will be refunded the difference after your order is shipped.

From the PS Blog:
Preorder Warframe and get free shit. Note that you can do this whether you're getting a PS4 right away or not.

We are less than a week away from the PS4 launch, and the Digital Extremes’ team has been hard at work polishing up Warframe and getting it ready for its debut on launch day, when players turn on their PS4s for the first time. We’re imagining the squeals of delight at the thought of firing that baby up on Day 1…ZOMG!
So, what have we been up to? In addition to working on the game, we’ve also been coming up with ways to help PS4 players get into the game quickly. Not too long ago, we released our special Warframe: Ultimate Fan Pack — a pre-order Pack specifically for PlayStation fans that includes an exclusive PlayStation Braton Rifle weapon skin, 50 Platinum, and 20,000 Credits. With this pack you’ll be able to get a step ahead of the enemy, and take advantage of items in the Market utilizing your Credits and Platinum (and look good doing it with your PlayStation branded Braton Rifle). Oh, and did we mention the pre-order and everything in the pack are absolutely free?
To get this pack on launch day (or when you get your PS4), you’ll have to pre-order Warframe either through SEN on the web, or through PlayStation Store on your PS3 — found in the PS4 section — by November 12th.

DC Universe Online 're-launches' on PS4, remains compatible with PS3 game
http://www.joystiq.com/2013/11/07/dc...mpatible-with/
When Sony Online Entertainment launches the PlayStation 4 incarnation of DC Universe Online on November 15, the game will look shiny and new, even if under the hood it's largely the same adventure.
As you'd expect, the PlayStation 4 game will look much better than its predecessor. According to senior creative producer Jens Andersen, the DC Universe Online team has reworked much of the original game's art for the new platform. "We're targeting 1080p at 60 frames per second," stated Andersen.
Most crucially, players on either the PS4 or PS3 side of DC Universe Online will be able to play alongside one another. No new content is being added to the PS4 game that's not already available in its predecessor, so this cross-compatibility shouldn't throw off the game's balance. Further, Andersen mentions a number of tweaks to core game systems that should make the learning curve less daunting while also rendering the game as a whole more intuitive to new players.
You can find more details on what to expect when DC Universe Online hits the PlayStation 4 at Sony's official PlayStation.blog.

Managed to get Warframe purchased via the SEN website. The forthcoming app better improve that process because that website is clunky as hell.
