That's why Microsoft got so cocky. They knew that Xbox Live was so superior, and people was already part of a community. It's hard to leave that.

But trying to answer your question, do you have a PS3? You can start adding friends there. You should be able to see any PSN friend in your PS4. Although I'm not planning to get a PS4 at launch, I'll get it eventually. So you can add me, I use my PS3 in a daily basis.

We used to have a really healthy underground PS3 community on the forum. Chew ( ) and I started it with Warhawk, which we played every week for 3 years, and then we spread out to a bunch of other games. We thinned out in 2011 when Chew passed away and I went to Afghanistan at about the same time, and it was never quite the same after that. We still play from time to time, and I'll jump in their games when I see them online, but hardly anybody posts here anymore. We never got a sticky thread or anything, but we were tolerated, and we had a lot of good times crashing into each other in Burnout, setting horses on fire in RDR, and blowing things up at the douchiest possible moments in a variety of shooters.

I tried to send you an invite this morning, and it said the name wasn't registered. Did you maybe vary the spelling a bit? It might wait till you have a PS device to confirm your ID. You could log into your profile on somebody else's machine to lock it in and then delete the profile if that's the case...or just wait till you get your PS4.

I think you have to have a PS to add friends. I'm in the same boat. My buddy couldn't add me nor I him from the website. I have a PSN account I created on the website but no PS.... yet.

Well, I just canceled my PS4 pre-order. I simply do not have time to play games right now, and if I don't have time, why would I spend $400 on a new game system?

I know I could have kept the order and flipped it, but I'd rather someone possibly have a shot at getting it at the original price.

That makes sense. You know a cheaper, probably improved system will be coming down the pike in a year or two anyway.

Sucks about Chew. Guess I didn't realize he had passed. We did a gameshare together in the early days of PS3. Sorry to hear about this (and so late to boot).
