You're talking about 4 games though. Not every game appeals to every person. For me LEGO has been run into the ground. I have zero interest in Bayonetta. I have no idea what X is, and never bothered to look into Wonderful 101, so not really sure what that game is either.

One of the biggest reasons I have a WiiU:

We are one step closer to the Mario/Sonic 2D game that I have always dreamed of...

When you're talking about a company like Nintendo, though, four games in two years make up a pretty significant percentage of their first/second party console output. I'll put it another way: name the last 3-5 new IPs from Nintendo that you would call big hits, and look how many years back you have to go to do it. A lot of Nintendo fans say they're tired of Mario/Zelda/Smash/Kart and want Nintendo to branch out, but when Nintendo does, those games generally don't get any support (from Nintendo or from consumers).

That someone like you -- spends a lot of time on gaming forums, probably regularly reads gaming news/review sites -- has no idea what a couple of those games are speaks to Nintendo's failure in marketing.

I had no idea about that game, but the trailer intrigues me.

Is Sonic Lost World truly worth buying now?

I had no clue Remix was already out. How much is it?

Too bad I did not like Sonic Lost World...is that DLC available on the 3DS incarnation?

And I don't even know what NES Remix is...but I couldn't find it in the eshop either.

I am reading on IGN that NES Remix has stamps like SM3DW...so that's really awesome if that's Nintendo's answer to Achievements/Trophies.

Re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo

How is the Sonic game after the update?

http://www.joystiq.com/2013/12/11/so...players-extra/

Sega has issued a patch for the Wii U version of Sonic: Lost World, adjusting the game's difficulty in response to player feedback and reintroducing the series-standard "100 rings = extra life" mechanic.

After applying the update, players will now receive ten lives after getting a Game Over, compared to the five lives that players started out with pre-patch. Our review cited a lack of opportunities to earn extra lives as a major drawback in Sonic: Lost World, as players can easily run out of lives in the difficult later levels, leading to frequent and frustrating restarts.

The patch additionally enables analog stick and button control for some of Sonic's Wisp powers, eliminating the need for motion controls and touch screen input.

Re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo

I LOVED the first few DW games, they were incredible. Then I realized that each game was the same and my love for the series died as it did for most others. This one looks like it could bring that love back to life. We shall see. I hope it's more of that than Link's Crossbow Training, lol.

Hyrule Warriors looks lame to me. I got bored of Dynasty Warriors in about 10 minutes, and this doesn't look any better. I know it would take a lot of work, but instead of aping Dynasty Warriors, I would've loved it if they aped Elder Scrolls for the next Zelda game - imagine a Hyrule with the expanse of a Skyrim/Oblivion...

That'd be like Zelda on the 64 with terrible combat and 45 of 60 hours with nothing to do but walk. Of course, I've been completely lost on the appeal of the Elder Scroll games since playing Daggerfall all those years ago. Like an MMORPG without the MO.

I wouldn't mind something akin to Zelda: tOoT with a map several times its size, but it needs to stay distinctly Zelda. Hyrule looks like a downloadable title, or just really really early in development.

Still debating if it's worth it. Though, the only thing I've wanted in the two years is the 3DS XL Cradle I missed out on.

Me neither but can't wait. But wouldn't be better to name it using the Zelda or Link IP? A name like Hyrule Warriors might miss many customers.

I wish I could go back to, say, 1993 or so and show that Sonic/Yoshi footage to my 13 year old self. My God.

That's just a tentative title according to the German in parenthesis. Hopefully it's not given a Zelda name and uses something along the lines of a Link's Adcenture spinoff.

Yeah, I'm barely halfway there. Even if I hadn't grabbed the t-shirt earlier in the year to take advantage of some points that were about to expire, I still wouldn't have enough.

Are the Wii U virtual console games a pretty recent addition? It feels like everytime I've looked since last week, they've been Wii / 3DS virtual console only.
