re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo
I haven't met anyone with a Wii U whose downloaded any of the 30 cent games, save for one buddy that bought Super Metroid, nobody else could be bothered I guess? I just forgot about them.

re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo
I should've downloaded them but didn't. :(

re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo
I got most of the 30 cent games. I think i skipped/missed F Zero.
My daughter has been saving 40 bucks to pick up Pokemon Y and now there is a Toys R Us deal where when you buy a nintendo game you can get half (or is it 40%) off a second one so i might pick up Wind Waker so then we both save some money. I just have to hope the Toys R Us we go to has both games on saturday |

The Capcom store has Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate on sale for $20 and you also get a free classic controller pro. That's a hell of a deal, but it's currently backordered.

The deal is over.

re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo
Well free even beats 30¢.
I nabbed all the 30¢ ones but outside of the day I bought them I haven't played any of them. |
re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo
I nabbed some of the 30 cent ones, and Earthbound. Those are the only downloads I've purchased on the Wii U.

re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo
Does anyone else's gamepad "creak" when pressure is applied at the corners or sides? It's like there may be a little give because the lower part of the gamepad is basically hollow.
Anyone? |

re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo
i thought the gamepad touch control levels were going to be annoying, but they are a nice break from the platforming.
i can't say enough good things about rayman legends. there is just SO MUCH content and the level design is top notch. i think i enjoy it more than Donkey Kong Country Returns, and i LOVED that game. |
re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo
Like Origins, Rayman Legends is GOTY material. It's easy for people to assume the game pad stuff is disposable but it really is a blast and can be as challenging as the platforming. Like Andy said the though the Murphy levels are a nice break from the Rayman levels. I love platformers but typically tire of them after an hour or so(probably because I go for everything), Rayman breaks that mold for me.
I said as much in the Rayman thread but I cannot fathom the game being as fun on another platform. |
re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo
So no creakiness with anyone's gamepad I assume?

So if I could choose two Wii U games out of Pikmin, Rayman, and Wonderful 101, which one should I drop?
|
re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo
Only played Pikmin & Rayman but love them both. Did you play previous Pikmin or Rayman Origins?
|
re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo
I played Pikmin 1 and 2, but not Origins. I just downloaded Origins on my Vita (thanks PS+!).

Adam has a solid point. Do that.

re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo
rayman is still $60 on toys r us...
but gamestop.com and in-store has it for $39.99... 100% worth it that price. while i enjoyed Pikmin 3 a lot more than I was expecting to, Rayman just blows away any other Wii U game out now. |
re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo
Thought the TRU deal I got:
• Pokemon X • Pokemon Y • The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds • New Super Luigi Bros Wii U |
