I love me some Bioshock, but shouldn't System Shock II be up there before Bioshock? I mean if we are talking influential.

As far as greatest games, and/or best experiences, Bioshock is definitely welcome in third place.

All these lists should just have a disclaimer that says "top XX amount of games, after SMB and Zelda."

Counter-strike and Starcraft both should've been in the top ten as they're still the most played games online despite being fifteen years old. Blizzard and Valve both made a legacy for themselves based upon those two games alone. While Blizzard got three games within the top twenty, the original Warcraft franchise gettinG shafted blows. Also, I would consider Valve's Team Fortress 2 to be in my top ten.

Numerous sequels got onto the list, but Final Fantasy VII is not the definitive game in that franchise. That's VI.

Halo 2 should've been on the list as it set the bar for multiplayer on console gaming and the multiplayer was far superior than what was given to us on Halo 3 and Reach.

Also, where the fuck is SimCity?

Ah, fuck it. The list sucks and I'll forget about it tomorrow. Just like how everyone has forgotten that G4 is a channel.
Sorry, dude. FF VII is the one that made a lot of people start paying attention to the series. Not everyone played the first 3-4 games.

Halo 3 was remembered more than Halo 2.

I guess you're a Bioshock hater?

A list is just an opinion. It,s not forcing you to agree with them. I personally think SMB 3 should be #1.

Kind of surpised that no Tomb Raider games on the list. I enjoyed 1 and 2 on the PS1.

Odd that Super Metroid didn't make the top 20. Usually that's a shoo-in for top 5.

I liked Bioshock, but it seems awfully high.
I'm happy with it being that high. It's the only game this generation that I played through 3 times. Incredible graphics and art direction, the sound and voice acting was great. It managed to be both creepy and fun at the same time.

From my arcade days, I remember Pacman being much more popular than Asteriods. Centipede was huge too.

Ms. Pac-Man was always the better game though with true roaming ghosts and different boards.

Just noticed that there doesn't seem to be a single download only title like Flower, PixelJunk Eden, Splosion Man, etc. That's disappointing.

Also I'd make room for Beyond Good & Evil and probably Eternal Darkness.
