Colecovision for me as well. Man, that was an awesome system. A lot of people complained about the controller, but once you got used to it, it was pretty nice.

The first one my family had was a Magnavox Odyssey˛. I also remember going to my grandparents and playing a home console version of Pong that could play multiple versions of Pong. Checking this site, I think it was the Ultra Pong console:

The first video game system that I personally owned was an NES I got as a Christmas present (although of course I had to share the system with my sisters). It came with SMB and Duck Hunt, and I got Dragon Warrior free with my subscription to Nintendo Power.

NES for me as well. I had friends with Atari 2600, etc. I remember that my Dad was trying to talk me into either a Sega Master System (which I hadn't even heard of at that point, he called it a Seega) or an Atari 7800.

The first system I owned was a Super NES. There was a fundraiser at my school when I was in 8th grade, where we could earn prize money for selling magazines. I sold the most in the school, won over $300 and put it into the SNES, F-Zero and Pilotwings. Prior to that, my dad let me play his Atari 2600, Atari 5200, Atari 7800 and NES.

Never owned a game system but we grew up with Magnavox Odyssey˛ as well. My sister and her boyfriend had an NES around '90 and I played friend's Sega, Amiga, and PC games in college.
