Re: The Walking Dead (Telltale Games)

I was surprised when the guy on the talkie turned out to be Darth Vadar and Clem's father. I was also sad at the part where they all get on the boat only to have it hit a iceberg and sink. But the biggest surprise was when they get to the town and find out everyone in the town thinks it is 1820 and has no idea there is zombie outbreak or computers. Hmmm Well I guess there are no more computers.

I think the next episode takes place in space and has zombie storm troopers.

I didn't and I'm surprised at the number of people that did.

I can't understand why anyone WOULD?! What did you think the repercussions would be of saving him?

Well my thinking was the world was full of dead people and evil people. The number of good people is falling fast. Ben might have done dumb things but he isn't evil.

Spoiler:
I let him go because he asked to be let go, and Kenny would have killed him anyway.

Re: The Walking Dead (Telltale Games)

Episode 4 spoilers:

Spoiler:
Regarding Ben: I was all set to let him drop, and then I decided at the last second to save him. I was willing to let Kenny beat him up later, or maybe even kill him, but I figured that if I could save him at that moment, I should do it. It was odd - I felt like saving him was the right thing to do, but at the moment I made the decision, I couldn't really tell you exactly why I felt that way.

The most heartbreaking thing in the whole episode? Telling Clem the truth about not having time to find her parents, having her cry, reaching out to her, and then having her turn away from you. I've still never cried because of a video game, but I came pretty damn close at that point.

And...holy shit. The bite. Ballsy move to seal the main character's fate before we even get to the final episode. They did an excellent job setting up Episode 5, and if they can follow through on it, I can't see any game topping it for my personal GOTY.

Exactly. I wasn't clear enough but thats what I meant. Why let him die?

Spoiler:
Great setup for the final episode. I loved that despite killing waves of zombies earlier, Lee was bitten by a single walker in a trash can. Still... sad. But you knew it had I happen.

Re: The Walking Dead (Telltale Games)

Another great episode. The last episode would have to be a dream to make this anything but my GOTY

As for my choices...

Spoiler:
I saved Ben. I had everyone but Kenny at the end help me, but then I was a dick to Kenny for most of the way. Didn't really like the guy's attitude so I rarely helped him. It was interesting to see how split up the breakdown of all the possible choices with you at the end were, although it seemed like it didn't mean much when the episode ended. The Vernon/Clem stuff was definitely heart breaking, and i'm surprised to see how that all ties together. The whole Crawford story kind of disappointed, since I was expecting some crazy town, not one that was already taken over. Molly was kind of predictable, but I liked her character and was sad to see her leave already.

The bite stuff shocked the hell out of me, I didn't expect it to happen at all at the end like that.

My favorite part of episode 4:

Spoiler:
Lee stumbles upon a sign reading "FALLOUT SHELTER" and says "This must be a fallout shelter!"

It would be interesting if the CE contains anything else beyond whats described there, as otherwise it's nothing special since you can buy the Compendium separately anyway.

Re: The Walking Dead (Telltale Games)

Telltale's The Walking Dead season finale coming next week

Telltale has announced that the final episode of The Walking Dead game series, subtitled "No Time Left," will be available November 20 on the PlayStation Network in North America, and then on November 21 in the EU alongside Xbox, PC, Mac, and iOS versions. Telltale has said this fifth episode will mark the end of the current story, with more expected to follow.

According to our reviewers, the series has gotten better as it's gone along, and Twitter users seem to indicate the emotional duress of playing it has gone up too. So get those tissues ready, because the story of Lee and Clementine is coming to a close next week.

Re: The Walking Dead (Telltale Games)

Stupid question, but what is the best way to play this? PS3, PC, and I may as well ask...iOS? I'm leaning towards PS3, but I'd like some opinions.

I've played the first four episodes on XBox and it's played fine. I'm sure a PC would work, too, having played this type of game on a PC before. Although, I would recommend a console as I've found playing it on a larger TV makes it a bit more intense IMHO.

Yeah, that's why I'm leaning towards PS3. I'm hoping to avoid spoilers since it ends soon, but I'll be picking it up as soon as it comes out. Thanks!

Plus if you care at all about trophies, this is one of the easiest platinums ever.
