Absolutely agree on the monsters and should have gone the generic zombie route as the fungus heads come across very goofy.

If you've seen Planet Earth, it's more in line with that fungus that would embed itself in the brains of ants, drive them crazy, and then explode out of their heads to infect other creatures. Nature is pretty messed up...

I get that it's being biologically "realistic", but that's bullshit, because if you're trying to be biologically accurate, zombies would not be able to survive more than a couple weeks without all their limbs falling off.

Also, just looks goofy and not scary.

I don't play too many games nowadays, but just based on the outstanding reviews I see this game getting, I'll probably pick it up.

Pending charge on my credit card for the Survival Edition at Best Buy

Those bastards better have it ready for pick up on Friday. And hopefully they don't fuck up the $20 reward zone certificate this time.

Best Buy shipped my copy today. First PS3 game I've bought new on day one since Grand Theft Auto IV.

I love how you preorder a game a month before it comes out and they cancel it the week it comes out. And now that Amazon is sold out, it looks like I'm fucked unless I can find a copy in stores. Gotta love Best Buy.

I hate how often this happens these days. Stores accept orders and then just cancel them with a shrug of the shoulders. Kind of like the MS points debacle a few weeks ago. All these digital orders go through, people's cards are processed and charged, but then they're told that they're out of stock ( of a non- physical product).

Damn that sucks. I pre-ordered the game from Best Buy last Friday and is my first time pre-ordering from BB. Has this happened in the past? I'm wondering if Corporate doesn't wanna give out the $20 GC?

That bothers me toomattysemo247. I quickly ordered the post-p edition from gamestop when it came back in stock last week. I figured when I ordered that it would be a mistake that gets cancelled but I havn't heard anything yet.

Anyone think we will be able to walk into Gamestop or BB on Friday afternoon and pick up the survival edition without a preorder?

Kinda' weird that it's sold out online like that, but I'm pretty sure you'll be able to find it at stores on Friday just fine.

Survival Editions have all been pre-ordered. You may get lucky and find one here or there, but I know that every account that was allocated survival editions got right up to their # and had to turn off preorders.

you are completely missing the point. if a company is going to take a preorder for something, they'd better damn well ensure they have enough product to fill those orders.

I'm pretty sure Mattysemo said he's fucked unless he can find a store that has it Day 1. Yes Best Buy screwed him over, and I am stating that it will be very hard for him to find a copy at retail that's not on preorder, so don't waste your time. With that, Best Buy only had 1K units for preorder.

Here is a long thread talking about it and people are pissed!

http://forums.bestbuy.com/t5/Gaming-...ed/td-p/686747

I better get my 20 dollar certificate without issue for my pre-order or it will be the last time I bother. I pre-ordered the regular edition. Sorry to hear about some of you guys getting your survival edition cancelled.

re: The Last of Us (PS3 and PS4)

This is why I unfortunately won't pre-order special editions (or a console) from Best Buy, too many horror stories.

Out of the regular editions I've pre-ordered (5-7) for the $20 credit, I've only had one problem ($20 cert not posting) and they took care of it. I'm hoping they announce a new wave of $20 cert titles for the fall or my pre-orders will be going elsewhere since their trade-in values have tanked.

Best Buy responded and it appears to be a release date glitch, the release date was reset to 5/7
