Hmm, I hope it works.

I will still play this on release date, of course.

This game truly changed the world, and I expect the DLC to change it even further.

re: The Last of Us (PS3 and PS4)

The Last of Us: Left Behind DLC came out today. Did anyone get it? I'm trying to download it now, unfortunately it's been forever since updated by PS3 I have seemingly a half hour of various updates to sit through.

Is this the only single player DLC that is being released?

re: The Last of Us (PS3 and PS4)

I finally got it downloaded after the Amazon bad code fiasco (but thanks for the $5 voucher!) and the glacial PS3 download speed. Since I just finished the original game last week I'm looking forward to continuing the story.

re: The Last of Us (PS3 and PS4)

They fucking did it again!!!! Wow! I'm speechless!

DLC of the generation!

Yeah, it's really short, you may be able to finish it under 2 hours or so. I think it took me a little bit less than 3 hours, with a lot of exploring, and deaths. I remembered late in the game some tricks so...

I'm sure there will be a little controversy with

Spoiler:

the kiss

But just like the full game, Left Behind finished and I had to take some time to think about this.

So, if you kind of liked the full game, got bored or repetitive, get this DLC. Yes, it's under 3 hours, but it's never repetitive or boring.

It's beautiful. It's art. There I said it.

I really want to get the DLC but $15 seems pretty steep.

Excited. It's a bit steep but I'd still get it.

re: The Last of Us (PS3 and PS4)

Yeah, $15 may be pricey for less than 3 hours of gameplay, the DLC has replayability though. But the full game was one of my favorites last generation, so this was a no brainer. And I don't expect a sale on it soon (6 months or so).

Oh and I'm sure everyone who plays it will be talking about this.

re: The Last of Us (PS3 and PS4)

I went through this in about 4 hours (but I explore everything at a snail's pace and take a really methodical approach to stealth -- and I STILL missed an artifact on my first playthrough as well as at least one optional conversation and an achievement-related easter egg).

The structure is rather brilliant. In many ways the characterization surpasses the original game in that they could focus on it here, whereas at times playing the original I felt like "Oh, here's another stealth sequence because they haven't had any action in awhile". The encounters/action sequences here feel more natural to the flow of the story.

re: The Last of Us (PS3 and PS4)

Well, Howlongtobeat shows the average time to beat The Last of Us is: 15 hours.

60 divided by 15 = 4 bucks an hour.

3 hours of gameplay for $15?

$15 divided by 3 = 5 bucks an hour.

Not exactly a major difference in price, there. Some people really get picky with how much they think DLC should cost.

Wrapped Left Behind up today in one sitting. No surprises there, it was masterful as expected. Another home run for Naughty Dog and worth every penny. I think my playtime was just over two hours.

I'm not sure if it's this price at other BJ's Wholesale Club locations, but I just scored this game for $9.98 at the Derby, CT store.

re: The Last of Us (PS3 and PS4)

Other than the Black Ops 2 map packs, this the only other DLC I have ever purchased.

I'm on the fence as far as value goes (length vs price) but it was a great return to that world. I especially like how
Spoiler:
It's actually a prequel and side story. Very well done.
I'm now compelled to replay the full game again. I think I'll view some things a little differently knowing how
Spoiler:
she got infected
.

Naughty Dog has alluded that they may be working on a sequel, that (or Uncharted 4) is what will push me into the next gen.
