This is the second really insightful article I've read from Grantland today...and I'd never heard of them before today (don't judge me).

I'm not positive this game is for me, as I despise sneaking around, but it does sound like a masterwork.

So pickup at best buy for pre-order : Where in the store do you go to pick up the game? Do they have the pre-order games set aside apart from the usual VG section?

There should be a pickup location next to CS. Just look for where they have some merchandise stored behind the counter.

Picked mine up on the way into work at Walmart since they were the only place open. Can't wait to start this.

Well it sounds like there is good news to my story. I ended up emailing customer care about the cancellation. They basically blew it off stating that there was not enough copies at my location, therefore my order was canceled. So I ended up shooting another e mail to Lisa Smith (VP Customer Care), and within two hours, got a call from the GM at my store stating that they located a copy for me and I was still able to get the $20 reward zone certificate since I had originally pre ordered the game. So, fingers crossed, it looks like this is all going to work out in the end. For once, it looks like Best Buy actually took care of a customer, after a little push

All that is good, but it's still a ridiculous situation. It shouldn't be that difficult to buy a video game. After your extra time and effort, you've ended up with exactly what you ordered in the first place.

I'd hold off on playing until there is a patch unless you want to risk losing your progress in the game

Was the survival edition on amazon not release date delivery (I know the normal one was)? Because mine just shipped out today...

I ordered the Post Pandemic version from Gamestop with 2 day delivery. They sent it overnight mail yesterday. That surprised me.

Gamestop edition is huge.

Played about an hour of this. Amazing opening sequence.

What difficulty is everyone starting at?

I think that any difficulty unlocks Survivor and then you have to complete Survivor to unlock Survivor+ (completion of which nets you a trophy.)

I did normal. I just want to say that this is the best looking game I've seen this gen and I'm kind of surprised it's still progressing at this stage. Also the directing at the beginning of the game is actually better than a lot of movies I've seen lately but I can see how it's off putting for some players, not the happiest game ever made.

The opening sequence is astounding.

I'm not surprised about the way it looks since Uncharted was the best I've seen previously, and I never played the two sequels.

What's the difference between the Post-Pandemic and Survival editions?

I believe the PP gets the statue, while the SE gets the art book.

I think I'm going to sell the PP as it will pay for the regular version.
