The Spring figures arrived yesterday. My grandson *really* likes Springtime Trigger Happy - yes, even the color job. I commented on how "ugly" it was and he replied "I think he looks cool!" He lamented that I didn't get Fryno in the "Special package" indicating he'd leave it in the package to play with it. I think he's becoming a "collector"... I don't know if that's good or bad...

I picked up Scarlet Ninjini from TRU today for $8 ($10 sale on Giants plus the 20% coupon). They had about a half dozen.

I have still never seen even one of these at either of our two Toys R Us stores. I'm happy enough with the one I got for 9 bucks and some change off of Amazon Warehouse.

Does anyone have any McDonald's Skylanders characters they want to trade? I'm still on the hunt for Freeze Blade, Magna Charge, and the Chompy.

newegg also has the starter packs on sale. I think the 3ds one is $30 and 360 is $35. Not sure about the other systems.

Just got back from a McD's/Game Stop run. The clerk wasn't sure if the coupon would work but he scanned it and the system took it without any problems. Out the door with a X-Box 360 Dark Starter for $54.49 - tax included. Add $3.48 for the Happy Meal and 2 miles @ ~$.15/mile for gas for a grand total of $58.27 and 15 minutes time.

AND... the toy in the Happy Meal was a *Chompy*!!

I can't decide if I want to show this to the kids today or sit on it a while... My grandson asks about every 2 weeks if I'm going to get a Dark set (he *really* wants one of these) to which I usually reply "not at the current price!"

The clerk didn't have a problem ringing up the coupon for me… Five figures for 50 bucks… And a free game… Sounds good to me!

I have finally managed to stop collecting the swap force figures. I just know it's going to be a pain trying to sell the unopened ones though. Although she just started playing Infinity again so hopefully this doesn't lead back into skylanders.

Are you really ready to spend hundreds of dollars to get the next game? After the first three and a having second child on the way right around the expected release time I am not so sure we will be getting it. They will really have to blow me away and it will likely get us to get the game only and be very selective about figures. Damn you Disney and Skylanders!

Yeah, I'm not sure I'm in for a 4th one. Having spent nearly $800 on this last go 'round, I really need to spend my $$$ on stuff that matters.

Yeah. I'm all in. I've made huge cuts in my comic book and movie hoarding and hunting down these Skylanders "for my son" fulfills my collecting needs. If I don't, I'll probably find myself starting up with Disney Infinity figures

Disney Infinity is adding marvel for their next game so it should be interesting to see what they plan to add to skylanders.

They should add Crash Bandicoot.

i have no clue about Skylanders, but I figure I will know before too long. I have a 3 year old right now. Anyway, my question is, do all of the figures work with each new Skylander game? Or do you have to buy completely new figures when a new game is released?
