re: Skylanders, Anyone?

Yeah, and I left Spy Rise on the shelf tonight because I do see him everywhere, but I snagged RR and TS for the B1G1-50% sale.

Is Doom Stone even out yet?

^IFAIK Doom Stone is the only SF figure not yet released unless you count the last two variants - Kickoff Countdown and Jade Fire Kraken. I hope this one doesn't turn out to be like the Wham Shell release...

If you're not looking for a bargain, Amazon and WM have Arkeyan Crossbow Battle Pack.

For Punk Shock, Amazon has been doing the OOS/In Stock shuffle for a while on those 3 Spring editions. I've not checked Zoolerts to see if anyone else has them simply because with Swap Force, Zoolerts has been less easy to use.

I sure hope it doesn't turn out that way. Also, I went to order a Punk Shock and it went from being available and in my cart to being sold out and only available through 3rd party scalpers. Ugh!

I placed an order to get Spy Rise, Nitro Magna Charge and the Crossbow set from Target (to get free shipping and avoid the hunt).

I understand that Punk Shock is at some Gamestop locations... so I might hit a few of those over the next week.

Then that will leave Doom Stone.

I decided to take a pic of all of the Swap Force figures that we have that are not opened. I still have a few other figures from Giants like Polar Whirlwind that are not opened. Do any of you guys keep some/all of your figures in packaging or do you open all of them?

re: Skylanders, Anyone?

Wii U (in Wii mode ) with Spyro's Adventure game and Giant's wired portal do not play nicely together.

Always drops the connection with the characters.

Anyone else have the same problem?

re: Skylanders, Anyone?

We open *most* of ours but only when I decide it's time for a new character to help freshen the game a bit. If I've purchased duplicates for some reason (both kids like the figure, it's a store exclusive, I bought one and so did the kids but theirs got opened first, very low sale price) we'll open a duplicate if it's a really good character in game and we want to use the second upgrade route.

I still have a filing cabinet drawer full of Skylander's Adventures figures I picked up for $3 each the year Giants came out. I thought we'd open a few and possibly use the others as birthday presents but so far they've all stayed put away. We've had little use for duplicates from that series (due to getting reposed or just don't use it that much) and my grandson knows no one who plays regularly and would have like some of those for their birthday. I need to make a list to see if he wants any to take home for his DS versions of the games. I stumbled across a Dragon's Peak Adventure Pack a couple of months ago so snagged it only to find he'd purchased one with his own money loooong ago and didn't tell me so I have a extra of one of those collecting dust.

I absolutely do *not* understand why Activision has apparently kept all of those *except* Darklight Crypt in print! That's the only one we'd like to have another copy of!

re: Skylanders, Anyone?

I found an Enchanted Star Strike earlier. We are only missing Twin Blade Chop Chop and Doom Stone from all the regular 55 released characters from Swap Force. There are the two Nitro Target exclusives we don't have and I'm not sure if we will get them. I would venture a guess that we already have over 60 Swap Force characters including the Enchanted ones, Legendary ones, Spring Trigger Happy and Best Buy Sprocket.

re: Skylanders, Anyone?

I, too, found Enchanted Star Strike during a trip to WM today. There were at least a dozen at the smaller of 2 stores here. Of course I purchased one.

All that's left that I *intend* to purchase is Doom Stone, Kickoff Countdown, and Jade Fire Kraken. I *may* pick up a GameStop "Dark" starter should they go on sale again. After those few, all that's left are a few reposes and some lightcore which I generally tell the kids to purchase themselves if they want it. It also gets them involved in the overall search.

re: Skylanders, Anyone?

I haven't taken any "action" photos of our collection until now. I figured I would do it while watching the Final Four. I went ahead and opened every Swap Force figure we had as I just don't see any reason to keep them in their packaging any longer.

re: Skylanders, Anyone?

While looking around for information on a 4th title I stumbled across a few interesting sites.

This lady made a customized and cool looking Skylander called Mystery.

This article talks about the likelihood of Toys for Bob being the developer of the 4th game.

The lady in the first article has made a bunch of other cool Skylanders sculpts. Lots of pictures there to see.

There are rumors floating around the 'net that the next game might include a racing element which require vehicles that the top halves of the Swap Force Characters magnet onto (one report said that this racing element might be its own game).

The other rumor talks about snap-on weapons for new and reposed characters (some of which say...

... and I must add that a Particle Man figure would be wonderful!

re: Skylanders, Anyone?

Does racing via vehicles really fit in this universe? I sort of hope that they stick to 4 new figures per element and have online play as well. If they don't then I might just bow out or wait until the game and figures are super cheap.

re: Skylanders, Anyone?

I think that vehicles would fit into the universe, but not as a racing game.

I would really like to see the other side of the coin and have Chaos-centric games with bad-guy figures. Could make for an interesting battle arena or good-evil co-op.

Target 4-6 to 4-12
b2g1 $9.99 to $14.99 swap force / infinity figures. Doesn't seem like anyone is doing b2g1 on playsets / battle packs for swapforce.

Quick question about in game appearance. A lot of the new versions of older characters in Swap Force look a lot different, though at least to start out with in-game they look the same as previous versions. Is this a situation like Chill where there's a certain upgrade to get them to change their look and look more like the figure?

Yes, they get upgrades that reflect the figure (e.g. Sprocket's tank, Terrafin's gauntlets, etc.).

From McDonald's, my kids got Free Ranger, Hyper Beam Prism Break, and Rattle Shake. The $1 off coupon in each came in handy over the weekend when I used them with the 3 for $20 sale at Toys R Us.

re: Skylanders, Anyone?

Found the Spring Editions at Sam's Club today for $9.98 a piece so I picked up Punk Shock and Springtime Trigger Happy.

Now I'm only missing Doom Stone.

re: Skylanders, Anyone?

Walmart currently has the Spring Editions in stock online - at the "regular" price.

They also have Lightcore Enchanted Star Strike for $14.96!?!?! OUCH!! WM now joins the gouging game??

I *know* I paid the "normal" $12.96 lightcore figure price in the store last weekend but I'm at work and don't have the receipt to double-check but I'll be giving it a second look tonight just to be sure.
