At Amazon, the Series 2 Lightcore Drobot is $5.99 on the lightning deal right now, but I'm having trouble adding it to my cart. I had to get them to add the item to my cart and then adjust the price down.

Figured something was wrong with the system is a LC figure was 0% after 35 minutes.

Lightcore Shroomboom is the next one up for the same price I assume... and we'll see if it has the same problem.

Amazon CSRs are hit and miss on help these days...

Then the next deal for Shroomboom had the same problem. This time I got CSR Leah... she took her sweet time...



30 minutes later... I saved a few bucks. Good thing I had something else to work on while I waited for her to do what Arun did in 1/10th of the time.

A lot of work to still spend money. I'm glad I missed that fiasco.

Last week Amazon launched a revised page for their Gold Box/Lightning Deals that has users complaining and outraged at the problems that have plagued it since then.

I was just happy to get the discount, but was concerned with the difference in how CSRs handle similar problems.

Amazon has some work to do.

At least the issues should be cleared up by the time black friday week rolls around!

I will start holding my breath now.

You can get those for $4 or so as used... Is that a bad thing? I don't buy regular figures at normal price, it's just too much.

I totally forgot about those LD last night. I was going to look at them in case it was a real good deal and to have a few duplicates. Considering the issues you experienced I guess it's for the better as they also just raised the "free" shipping minimum to $35. I don't know if I'd have bothered with messing with CS over those because of what you experienced. Email is far superior for general amazon dealings but pretty worthless when dealing with a LD.

My experiences with all the changes they've done lately points to they have a *lot* of work to do. It's a mess right now. I have little hope they'll get the kinks worked out by BF since they already have lots of problems that weekend when things are supposedly working properly and no massive changes have been made.

Back to topic:

I received my Star Strike figure from TRU yesterday. For some reason it shipped separately from the rest of the stuff and came in a padded envelope that had opened during shipment. Fortunately nothing was missing and there was no damage. Star Strike looks very cool! I'm itching to get the game and start playing with these new figures!

My local walmart is also clearancing out most of the giants figures for around 50% off. I saw battlepacks, giants figures, etc.

My dad is in town and tonight got my son Magna Charge, Hoop Loop, Countdown and LC Grim Creeper - which is an awesome looking figure. He also got him that wrist projector thing at Best Buy -- he hasn't taken it off since.

I saw Giants wave 1 regular figures for $3.99 and giants for $7.99 at BJ's yesterday. My local store never got anything beyond wave 1. The person who did the ordering went a bit overboard though as they had a TON of wave 1 crap that didn't really move...

Is there any word on when the second wave Swap Force characters like Fire Kraken will sell outside of Toys R Us?

75+ figures? Damn! So far I have been able to keep myself from buying any swapforce crap. My daughter asks for it when she sees it at the store though. I am surprised she's still saving up for the lego Malevolence instead of just buying swapforce.

I'm a little upset over the face that you can't 100% the first group of levels, because the abilities or element for some of the gates aren't available yet. For example one of the gates is tech/earth, but neither earth Swap Force character is out yet, and then there is another (on chapter 3, I think) that is sneak with no characters having that ability available.

Add a second player and put one of each character on the portal. Once the gate opens up remove the character and unjoin from the game and then move ahead. This is what I do. The only thing we are locked out of still are the stealth gates.

Not sure how long this will last, but you can get $5 off these packs at Amazon.
