Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
Some very exciting news to report!!
First, Rockstar for some reason is now saying "GTA Online was never meant to last forever nor should it" Very weird as they have made a lot of money from it but who knows why they came out with this - story here: http://gamerant.com/grand-theft-auto...ranchise-rest/ Second and definitely the most exciting - some supposed 'leaked' artwork from a rockstar developers portfolio were released showing an image of liberty city remade for what looks to be GTA V!!! While obviously it's not official - come on man......it's worth reporting on: http://www.ign.com/articles/2016/06/...-city-in-gta-5 |
Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
Let's be honest here and say that if they do add the Liberty City map then they need to expand it a bit as well. The San Andreas map blows it out of the water with diversity.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
That, and the initial single-player campaign left a lot of SA's world untouched.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
I finally picked this up for the PS4. Its been a long time since i played it on the PS3, but so far its not wowed me. It looks nice and i like affects such as the controller speaker playing phone and radio conversations. Its pretty much what i anticipated. I did play the PS3 version a lot just to screw around for short bursts when i was inbetween things and its the main reason i picked it up again. I think i might enjoy going through the story more the second time around. Its a shame that i can't use my old save.

That's when you really notice the changes. The traffic differences. Obviously you can notice the changes made to play in first person. And of course the biggest change is the loading time. PS3 takes forever to load into the game, while loading into the PS4 is by comparison, instant for single player and still pretty fast for online. I would say that playing the PS4 version actually gives a lot of respect for what Rockstar did with the PS3 version. They really pushed that version to the limits. They've now left the old consoles behind, so playing online really shows the difference between the two. PS3 is stuck in time, while PS4 continues to evolve and grow. |
Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
I have noticed more traffic, a few more cars here and there. People seem to be doing more and more animals and what not. Also load times are very noticeably better which is a big plus. Rockstar really did a great job with the PS3 version for looks. This is certainly a nicer version overall, although the soundtracks are grating on me. I have just begun going through the story again and i actually think i might have more fun second time around. Certainly glad i picked it up.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
I loved playing GTA San Andreas (original) on the first Xbox. The best part of that game was using the music in my library and making playlists to make custom radio stations when driving around. The game even integrated the radio commercials on my playlists! I wish this feature could be brought back to GTA V.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
Still no word on single-player DLC, but they do keep adding crazy shit to the online game.
|
Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
They will never make any more single player DLC for this game. Why? Not enough money in it compared to DLC for online players.
|
Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
That stunts DLC is clearly inspired by some of the crazy user made race tracks.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
Looks like Mario Kart to me.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
Just finished the single player campaign on Friday night. Enjoyed it a lot.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
I am going through the campaign again after completing it on the PS3 when it originally came out and now on the PS4. The game isn't as much fun second time around. I just want to get through it asap so i can get back to fucking around.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
I played half way through the campaign on the PS3 before I played all the way on the PS4 - to me, it was such an improved experience, that I felt it was way more fun and playable than the first time.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
Started playing this about 2 weeks ago. Never bothered with the PS3 version since we were told it would come out for the PS4. Playing it on the Pro, it looks and sounds fantastic. Don't know if Boost Mode does anything for it, though. I don't have a 4K TV either.
Just finished robbing those two trust find kids for Devin. The game is fun as hell. I'm a bigger fan of third person games than first person, so I've eschewed the latter's mode. Feels great knowing how much more extra content they added to the PS4 and Xbox versions. Not sure how I feel about the story line and characters so far...Franklin seems to be the only somewhat likeable person. I'm not exactly sure what the goals for Michael and Trevor are. (No spoilers, please.) Reading through this thread, I'm glad I'm not the only who cannot fly an aerial vehicle. I must have died over 100 times trying to pass several different missions flying them. My characters don't have much money, though; I foolishly completed Lester's assassination missions without taking advantage of the insider trading. There's new content for returning players, but how about for people playing it for the first time? I'm interesting in those noir missions for Michael. Thank you. |
Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
Looks like we might finally get jetpacks and be able to solve the mystery of Mount Chiliad with the upcoming The Doomsday Heist. It might be what draws me back to GTA after a year or so away.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
So it's no surprise nobody ever bumps this thread for all the new and exciting DLC that gets released for GTA online /sarcasm but I'm happy to report that with the new nightclub DLC you don't have to buy anything to enjoy the nightclubs. Sure you won't be allowed in some VIP sections (but this is an option the club owner chooses when they design their club -so if you can't get there in one club just go to another) and you can't take part in the champagne challenge but you still get to do the dancing (which is hilarious fun and well done by rockstar) and enjoy the cool music (it seriously is fun to dance in-game to it) and of course, if you get drunk and pass out in the club, you will spawn half naked in some random part of the club or around los santos (even on top of mount Chiliad) - little secret, if you try to get drunk enough you will eventually spawn on top of the epsilon building and receive a free Kifflom t-shirt (corny but it's still kinda cool).
Just wanted to mention this as everything costs 9,999,999.99 after you get the "Free" DLC so I'm glad Rockstar FINALLY came to their senses to let you enjoy rival nightclubs by simply making them available on the map (usually there will be 2 available) - not sure what happens when those who bought nightclubs stop going online but I'm sure there will always be someone who owns one avaialble. GTA online has come a long way - I really love it now as a causal player - it captures SOME of the spirit of single player but all in all, it still needs more "Soul" put into it but it's getting there. Pricing on everything is keeping the bulk of people away right now and sadly, I don't see this ever changing with future releases. |
Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
I haven't done anything with most of the Online DLC, but I got back in to create my Nightclub. One of the write ups I read on it said how it was almost like single player missions, except you're online. Now I need more money to start my other businesses so I can use my storage.

How long does it take to earn 10 million without buying those stupid money cards?
|
Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
I'm still interested in a Chariot Romero Hearse. I know it's supposed to be available to buy via the After Hours DLC, but does anyone know if would still spawn in multiplayer if I was in a game with someone that already had one?
I'm on Xbox One if anyone has one and wants to give it a shot. |
Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
The hearse should still spawn by the church/ graveyard.
