Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

Was there any DLC for this game (besides the pre-order blimp andOnline money)?

Lots actually. All free. Probably 5 or 6 times they'd release free upgrades to GTAO and the new weapons and vehicles would carry over to the main game too.

One of them was a limited-time St. Valentine's Day Massacre-themed pack that is no longer available but none of the others expired as far as I know and should still be available as free downloads.

Not to me. Not when there's so many other new titles to be played. Seems like a colossal waste of time.

What's the appeal of having a completed game though? That's a question coming from someone who earned a 100% game. There's practically nothing to do in the game once you've finished it.

Why do you even want the new version of you don't wanna play it? Do you honestly just wanna cruise around the city and wistfully look at all the stunt jumps you already successfully landed in the last-gen version?

Getting a 100% game on GTA is fun. Having a 100% game on GTA is boring.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

I enjoyed my time with GTA5 on old consoles. I look forward to enjoying my time with it again. Games aren't a collection quest.

Also, 150 new songs in this new version. That alone has me excited.

I actually stopped playing the PS3 version in anticipation of the PS4 version. Now I can't wait until Nov 17th!

Same here. As soon as it was looking likely that a next gen version was on the way I sold off my last gen copy mid-game.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

I finally got this from the library and popped it in last night to do the prologue and first mission with Franklin and the cars. So yeah, I'm ready to grab this for PS4 and hopefully still qualify for the extras. I guess I'll go the Best Buy route with GCU and the $10 reward certificate.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

That's all we have to do right? Prologue plus Franklin car mission (driving with your buddy to the dealer). I only did those two.

I was leaning that way, but after the GCU discount ($47.99) and trade-in at BB ($22.40 (w/50% this week)) I'm at $25.59 to upgrade. Plus if I preorder I can get $10 back in rewards also.

Those assholes at Best Buy and their Trade in value adjustments -- I got $22 a few weeks ago for the game. They brought down all the values just enough so that by adding an additional 50% TIV they can end up giving you close to exactly the same value as before.

BTW : I did the exact same thing regarding the trade in. You end up getting the upgrade for under $20 when you figure in the pre-order $10 credit. Way better deal than Target even if it doesn't look like it at first.

Or....

Seriously, between you and me touting GCU, Best Buy owes us a commission or something.

Not sure of what bundle to try to get. GTA V/ Last Of Us or Batman Lego 3/ Little Big Planet 3.
