I noticed a problem when I checked my weapons. Shotgun ammo was 0/0. I was sure I had ammo for it. Got more ammo. Came back to the game and noticed it was 0/0 again. Loaded my last save and had my ammo back. Now I do a manual load every time. I wish Rockstar would have had the game load up the main menu instead of going directly into the game.

I seriously don't know how anyone gets to 100% in this. I can't make any more Strangers & Freaks missions appear and I seems like all these missions I'm doing (like Trevor and the realtor) don't count towards anything. Sigh. Stuck at 89%.

Side activities like knife flights, under the bridge flights, parachute jumps, and vehicle stunt jumps all count towards the 100%. Additionally, you have to fully complete some of those activities before the last few Strangers & Freaks missions show up.

I'm early in the game, roughly 11%... is the "car missing from my garage" thing not fixed yet??!!??

Just curious here - what is the allure of saving cars? I've never done it personally. I just go grab a vehicle when I need it. Usually I just pound on cars with a hammer until the occupant runs away. No killing, no wanted level. It adds to the fun for me.

That's fine if you don't like to customize your car. But if you have something that's souped-up you don't want to have to keep going back to the mechanic.

Ahh I see. I haven't done any vehicle customization. I drive like shit anyway so I don't see much point in making a nice car for myself.

In previous games the cars were just trophies, they sat parked. The ability to upgrade the parts adds another layer.

I still grab cars at random, though I like to drag the dufus out and then run him over if he gets lippy.

I won the first race in a car off the street. I wasn't able to get gold because the other cars would hit me too much. The other cars on the street weren't any better. I drove back to Franklin's house to grab his car. That car had enough speed to keep me safe from the others.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

how do you guys win the street races?
i'm stuck on the first and don't even come close. always finishing way last.

Also, do you need to finish 1 freaks/stranger in order to get the next?
If you are stuck on one, would another pop up later?

Don't know about PC, but I remember reading on IGN recently where Rockstar said they haven't even discussed a next-gen port.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

Decided to give this game a second chance this weekend.......it still sucks.....just kidding.

I noticed I didn't have the tru-motion enabled on my tv from my xbox input- once I enabled it......this game looked exceptional - the graphics are insanely impressive. This just led me to believe that it's going to be released for next gen as I seriously don't have any other games where the switch from turning on tru-motion and turning it off makes such a big difference (for those who don't know what tru motion is, it basically looks like the movements of people, cars, and the environment as a whole are in real time - it's a common feature on most HD tv's).

Also, the side missions are so much better than the main storyline - I honeslty wish this entire game was just the side missions for each character. Favorite so far is when Franklin meets up with Dom.

If you buy the dock it opens up some more missions.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

Financially, only the dock makes sense. Finding all the collectibles associated with it will yield a good profit. The airfield and towing companies only make money if you do a bunch of work. The other properties will take 100 weeks to break even. Buying them early will mean less money to invest during Lester's missions. I ended up with about $2 billion for each character, more than enough to buy all properties. (Remember to buy both stocks. First the one that will rise. When that stops rising, sell it and buy the one that fell. It will return to its normal pricing.)

There is also a glitch that will allow you to buy most properties for $0. An animation plays when you purchase property. The game gives you ownership but doesn't process the payment until the end. Pause during the animation. Select Replay Mission. The restore point will save your current state, including ownership. Once you return to the present you'll have the property without money being deducted.

Trying this with the airfield may result in the arms dealing missions not working as the plane and the buggy might not spawn. Some people have suggested that the private fare missions might not show up if done with the taxi company.

The airfield, dock, and taxi company all have trophies/achievements related to them.

Does anyone else notice sounds of skateboarding while near the skatepark close to the southern end of the beach in Los Santos?

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

Each time I load the single player it starts me over at the beach where I guess was the last place I was playing in the single player. Anyway, I start just a few feet from that little skate park by the beach and I clearly hear the sounds of someone riding a skateboard. I would also like to point out that I hear these sounds using my Pulse headset.
