Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
I saw VGChartz estimated sales for last week (worldwide):
1 X360 Grand Theft Auto V 8,880,006 2 PS3 Grand Theft Auto V 8,644,488 they're not usually very accurate but  that's an amazing number. As per normal, X360 version sold much better in the US, PS3 version sold much better in EU. |
Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
Over 17 million copies in little over a week. That is amazing if those numbers are accurate.

I don't know if this has already been discussed, but how the hell do I even get just a bronze medal in the Helicopter Course at the flight school?
Most difficult thing I've come across in the twenty hours or so I've put into the game. The second one is a nightmare. I got gold once by a miracle and a lucky landing. Bronze shouldn't be too bad on either one (assuming you finish). It just comes down to maintaining speed by keeping the nose down as much as you can and using L1 and R1 (LB and RB on XBOX I think) to make tight turns. And don't miss checkpoints, those will kill you. The helicopters are the two toughest lessons at Flight School, so once you get past them, you're all good. |
Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
Finally got "The Last One" to show up. Pretty fun little bonus mission.

I'm glad I'm not anal about getting 100% in GTA games, I think it would drive me crazy.
I haven't had much time, finally finished Trevor's first group of missions. Not really a fan of that character so far, Michael and Franklin were more interesting. This is clearly the story of Michael and Trevor's relationship, Franklin seems like a third wheel as "the rookie" |
Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
I just did the other two endings I didn't pick through replay. Both were depressing, but easy gold medals.
The third ending was awesome, perfect for this game. Also of note for trophy/achievement hunters: If you play every mission, do every side job, and get 100% completion, there are 122 missions/strangers & freaks that are available for getting gold medals in. So you have a lot of room for error here as you only need 70 golds. |
Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
Finished earlier this morning. 62 hrs 26 min. 78.42 % Best GTA game!
|
Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
Finished the main missions last night - picked C because the other 2 did not make any sense.
Over 68 hours so far and still a ton of stuff left to do. I'm pretty sure it is the only GTA game I have finished, and it is among the rare number of games that I have played to completion. |
Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
So I hear Hawk and little (HAL) is a great investment on the bawsaq. Supposedly they deal with Ammunation and supply them with guns. It's up right now but during early morning it goes way down. Some have suggested this is affected by beta players and what time they play. It's gonna skyrocket on October 1st so make sure to buy a ton before online opens.

Does anyone else read up on the study of conspiracies and the never ending search for the jetpack that some believe is in the game?

I know about the pic and the supposed ufo but so far nobody has actually found them.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
Had my first issue of locking up a moment ago ... was in the middle of the hunting mission and had snapped a photo of a boar I killed ... BOOM! Locked up and all I could do was power off ... Damn

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
And there it is, 70 gold medals!
35 gold missions, 35 gold strangers and freaks. Symmetry is nice. That gives me all the single player trophies. Now I have a couple days to relax, and get ready for the arrival of GTA Online. |
Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
Invested all i had into HAL at 3 am when stock was down to ten cents share. Logged on at noon and it was up at six or seven dollars. Made six million!

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
Just realized that the cutscenes are part of your mission completion time, meaning that it's almost impossible to get a Gold the first time you do any mission with an arbitrary time limit.

It was the same way with GTA VI, the cut scenes, counted towards your total "playing time" if you were trying to get the "Liberty City minute" achievement

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V
How many of you have opened up the FULL map yet (even after you get the achievement/trophy for doing so....it doesn't mean you have opened it up in full look for the "clear" areas on your map...they fill in once you make your way to them). You can also explore everything from a helicopter or plane (I recommend using the Maverick chopper).
This game is fucking massive - it has to be the biggest map ever. I like many others didn't believe the size Rockstar was claiming but now, having opened it up in full....Mount Chiliad alone is damn near the size of IV. Very impressive. EDIT: with the exception of chiliad which I roamed in full by foot......I completed the rest of the map via helicopter. |

Is this a daily thing with that type of change or was that just a coincidence? |
