Does anyone know of any armored truck schedules? I feel like doing some highway robbery.

I am loving Trevor, he's so great. That 'torture' mission was also brilliant - I can never remember the names of the missions. And I really hate races. Seriously. Hate them so much. I SUCK at driving and racing games and it's just impossible. Helicopters I'm also fecking useless with as well.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

So its actually better to get killed by cops than get busted right?

Killed it costs 15 to revive but you keep your ammo and armor.

Busted it costs 37$ for bail and you lose your ammo and body armor. Thats kind of strange?

I'm reading the HF thread and did a double take. I thought I was losing my mind for a second when I saw the question, then looked at the user name

I haven't seen them out at any set times, it seems to be pretty random. I passed one in the middle of the night.

So there is more than one movie then? I keep getting the Mexican hipster art house film "Director: odd angles make the film" it's horrible to sit through.

The game is epic - first heist (going in loud) was just all sorts of awesome.

I actually laughed pretty hard at some parts in some of the mission cut-scenes.

I'm glad they didn't tweek the driving too much either - was wondering how that was going to play out. I can't stand the arcade feel of driving.

Too much to talk about - I'm just so happy I can finally play the damn game.

Just found out the 4th slot in the player change wheel is for your multi-player character - wonder how that is going to play out - hope it's awesome.

My only major gripe so far is that they didn't include this song in the soundtrack:

Actually, I do have one gripe only....they got rid of the auto-cinema taxi cam - yes I know you can still change the camera view but I loved it when it would auto zoom in and out by itself.

That's it....that's about all that urks me but I do miss that feature from IV.

I'm holding out 'til it's released on PC. So I have a minimum of 7 months to wait.

I am playing now and watching TV in game. The TV shows and ads are freaking awesome. Very funny and well done. Better than normal TV. Certainly ripping the hell out of the US of A.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

Ran by some NPC on a pier and he showed up as a blue blip on my map. When I went up to him he rambled and each time I would start to walk away he would begin chatting again. Got tired of his shit and took a swing at him. Boy could that guy run.

I'm also bummed by the fact that there are so few convenience stores to rob and that you can't rob all the stores on the map. Robbed a few and was certainly surprised when the first one went horribly wrong.

Everything I've read up on GTA Online is there will be more stores to rob with your crew.

40% done...my thoughts

I have never been a huge fan of the GTA games. I thought GTA 4 was the most overrated game of all time (until uncharted 3 came out)

I think Red Dead is one of the best games this generation.

They took some of what made that game great, mainly the lack of really annoying stuff, and brought it to GTA5, but they still left in so much shit.

I have never watched a movie, read a book or played a game that can go from pure brilliant to massively frustrating so quickly. One second you are pulling off the perfect heist, switching between characters, with cinematic camera angles and movie like music getting your heart racing. The next moment you spend 30 actual minutes unloading cargo from a boat.

The game is brilliant with its flaws, but I think for me at least, Tomb Raider, Bioshock and Last of Us are safe as games of the year. (Bio is in the lead for me)

Dear lord, Chop just blew himself up by attacking the motorcycle Franklin had parked outside the garage in what has to be literally one of the funniest things I've ever seen in my life.

I got tired of the Last of Us pretty quick. Didn't finish Tomb Raider, and Bioshock was great. None of them compare to this though.

GTA
Bioshock
Tomb Raider
Last of Us.

In that order.

So I finally got my upgraded car. I was playing as Michael for a bit and decided to switch back to Franklin. I ended up just popping in the car as it was driving down the road and it was the new custom version. About 20 minutes later I got the text telling me my car was done so it was just glitchy with that part. As far as changing the plate on cars you have stored that part didn't work for me unless that doesn't apply to "borrowed" vehicles.

I've robbed that single station(across from Franklins garage) so many times just me walking in there now gets the cops alerted.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

Put in a little more time last night and the driving seems a lot better. I was sticking mainly with the cars Michael & Franklin own and noticed both their driving stats were over 80%, so maybe those things help. I did the family mission helping Michael's wife get away after shoplifting. I was roaring down a hill with a police car, hit the back of some little sports car stopped at a red light and ended jumping a single story building, with the wife yelling 'what the fuck is wrong with you'. Funnily enough, jumping the building actually got me away from the cops pretty quickly. Just pulled into an alley afterwards and waited for the stars to drop to zero.

I'm enjoying the game, but already don't see any way it will surpass Bioshock Infinite or The Last of Us for my favorites from 2013.
