Re: Max Payne 3

I don't know if anyone caught it either ( I didn't the first time around) but there is a quick shot of Matias from Remedy at the end of the video titled "Remedy's Sam Lake and Matias Myllyrinne Talk All Things Max Payne" from the link I posted above that is very interesting.

Re: Max Payne 3

It wouldn't be a new game release without an overpriced special edition:

Spoiler:

The only thing that interests me from that set is the score. But I'm not gonna pony up $99 to get it.

Re: Max Payne 3

I remember the GTA IV CE eventually hitting rock bottom in price, so I suspect this would as well.

The statue and keychain are cool, though.

No rush.

Re: Max Payne 3

Pretty cool stuff, but I already have the regular edition pre-ordered and paid for. Excited for March. After all the big releases this past fall, it seems like this is the first big one for 2012.

Re: Max Payne 3

With this being released on the same day as Mass Effect 3, I'll probably hold off for a while even though I'm interested.

Re: Max Payne 3

Yeah, I was looking at the release date this morning too and was surprised it was the same day as Mass Effect 3.

Seems like a stupid, stupid move to me. Like releasing Alan Wake the same day as Red Dead Redemption.

Re: Max Payne 3

If ME3 no longer needs Origin as a requirement, I'll have to wait on MP3. I love MP but the ME series is even more my cup of tea.

ME3 is Origin only.

So by their wording, I can ditch Origin after the authorization and re-install it if there's a patch I wanna get. Right?

My wallet couldn't handle two new releases in the same day and having to choose would have sucked.

Re: Max Payne 3

I have played and finished part 1 and 2, but I just don't get why this series is so popular. Very "meh" and forgettable.

I hated the dream sequences.

Re: Max Payne 3

Gameplay wise...it hasn't aged well. I can't think of playing MP1 again. I'll do so again one day. It's the story for me. I really enjoy the story.

Re: Max Payne 3

The film noir atmosphere (particularly in the second game) mixed with John Woo sensibilities is what really makes the games shine. The story isn't really all that great when you break it down but the way it's told is what makes it so effective.

Re: Max Payne 3

Has anyone see the gameplay videos? They really do seamlessly integrate the gameplay with cut-scenes.....damn game looks pretty imprressive.

Re: Max Payne 3

With this coming out tomorrow, things seem kinda quiet. I've liked the past ones and Rockstar does fine work, so I'm looking forward to it.

It got a 9 from IGN.

I really want to play it, unfortunately Diablo 3 is out at the same time.
