Gearbox is launching a global BL2 in game challenge. Prizes include in game weapons and real world prizes. You need to register on borderlands2loothunt.com. There is a daily challenge which acts as 1 entry in the contest. Contest runs 28(28 challenges) days and starts on Oct. 11.
Wonder if the challenges are scaled because I never maxed out my lone character. I kinda dropped the game after the 3rd DLC.

Not to impressed with the Loot Hunt thus far. I've done two and the weapon drops suck. I'm level 50 and it's dropping mid 30s level weapons. I guess it's scaling them to the area the boss is in.
Decided to start Tiny Tina though, and that's a blast. First good expansion for this game.

Borderlands 2 Halloween DLC Release Date Announced
2K and Gearbox have announced that Borderlands 2’s next DLC, T.K. Baha’s Bloody Harvest, will be available on October 22nd on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Steam. The pack will cost $2.99 / GBP £2.39 / EUR 2,99 € and offers a new mission, multiple side quests and a boss battle against the Pumpkin Kingpin.
This marks the first of Borderlands 2’s upcoming Headhunter Packs, which let you take down a boss in order to win his head and a unique skin. As described by Gearbox, “In TK Baha’s Bloody Harvest, you’ll be tasked by the eponymous zombified corpse to discover the pieces of a key that will lead you into the heart of the Pumpkin Kingpin’s pumpkin patch (try saying that 3 times), where you will confront the Kingpin himself in an epic battle to claim his giant pumpkin head as your own.”
Fitting with the Halloween theme, T.K. Baha’s Bloody Harvest also includes new augmented candies that “will drop from enemies and provide all sorts of temporary buffs, ranging from faster movement speed to increased damage and more.”

Played through the mini-DLC "Bloody Harvest" today. It is definitely bite sized. Maybe 4 short missions and a boss battle. Maybe an hour worth of content, if that.
They finally got the boss battle right. The more times you fight him he eventually becomes a Raid Boss. This allows solo players and/or people that aren't maxed out to fight/defeat the boss on some level instead of leaving it as an unfinished mission. They definitely need to adopt that format for all the Raid Bosses in BL3.
I've also been impressed with the music as of late. Both this and Tiny Tina have fantastic scores. I wonder if they switched composers. Not that the previous stuff is bad, but these two are very unique.

So something unexpected happened last night. Back when I was playing the game regularly I got hit with the BAR reset at least 3x. With some of the hot fixes and patches I got lots of tokens to spend on my BAR. I long suspected I never really got back all my points. Yesterday I did something to earn some badass points and it gave me 100 new tokens. Jackpot!

I've been doing the loot hunt daily. It's a pretty awesome idea for a contest, and I hope more games do this kind of thing. It also inspired me to finally play through all of the DLC.

Ditto. It just sucks that my normal 3-person crew isn't around to do it with me for better drops. Plus about half of the bosses are beyond our progress in PT3, so I have to get under-powered drops from PT2

Revealed during the company’s financials for Q2 2014, the numbers put Borderlands 2 on track to become "the highest-selling title in 2K's history," said Take-Two president Karl Slatoff.
In addition to this, the second Headhunter DLC pack for Borderlands 2 has been dated for November. It’s called… wait for it…Wattle Gobbler.
The Headhunter DLC series offers self-contained missions with a unique boss whose head you get to keep and display on your person should you be victorious.

It would have been nice to have a BL3 at launch, but I'm kinda glad the timetable has gone the way it has. It gives them time with the new hardware to make a really kick ass game instead of rushing something "good enough" out.

Is there a way to kill Captain Flynt without going through all the levels? I went into a public game which killed him, but I didn't get a chance at any of his drops. So I would like to kill him if I can without going through all the levels.
