Why is the newest Mount & Blade game so much cheaper than the other ones?

It (and Warband) are called "standalone expansions," so I guess they're shorter than the first game.

Hmm, okay thanks. I still need to try the demo for Warband. I guess if/how much I like it will determine what I'll buy.

Re: Steam Summer Sale - June 30th - July 10th

Ok played frozen synapse and on the first level I realized how much I suck at this game. It is as everyone says "The planning screen on Rainbow Six without the gameplay between" but it is damn good. My head also hurts from all the strategy. Great game, but very difficult. This will take some time, but I think it will pay off. By the way flashburn, if you have a cag account you can hit the trade forum then the Master list sticky on the top and there are tons willing to go half and half on that since it is a forced 2 pack, only 6.25 if you do it that way.

Or just go here http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/...d.php?t=279563

Why oh why did I watch the trailers for this game? I've already bought the M&B collection (as well as 5-7 other games this sale), well, we can add it to the (now virtual) pile of games that I'll never get to.

Wow, Mount & Blade is buggy as shit. The mouse cursor graphic doesn't move (so I can't see where the mouse actually is), and there is tons of corruption in the actual game.

If anyone wants to go half on Frozen Synapse, send me a PM, I'm about to buy it unless I hear back from a guy on CAG soon.

You can always buy it and then post you have an extra copy in that thread. It will probably go damn quick. Most people want to buy and not take the initiative. I have done 4 of these group buys and 3 of them I had to buy it and sell off the extras, they were usually gone within 10 minutes.

Re: Steam Summer Sale - June 30th - July 10th

Better than $12.50. I'm pretty sure I was going to break down and pay full price before I knew it came with 2 copies.

Re: Steam Summer Sale - June 30th - July 10th

The STALKER prices are misleading, you can only get Pripyat and Clear Sky at those prices if you already own a STALKER game on Steam. They are double that if you don't. I might buy Pripyat anyway, I've heard that is the best one, and there is are these "complete" mods for each of them that are supposed to make them even better.

I have the original but only on disc. Will i still be able to use the expansions if i get em on Steam?

They are standalone expansions, so yes, you'll be fine. I think the graphics are much improved for Pripyat, btw. Actually, I think they are more like sequel's than expansions, but story wise it's okay to just jump into Pripyat without playing the other ones.

Also, it's cheaper to buy Clear Sky + Pripyat than Pripyat on it's own, if you don't own a Steam version of Stalker. I went ahead and grabbed both for $6.24. I've heard Clear Sky is awful, and not worth playing, but it saved me money by buying it, so that's fine by me.

edit: Also, here is a link to the "complete" mods for each game. I've heard they are essential.

The Steam client was wonky for me, but if you go to www.steampowered.com you can see what's for sale today.

King's Bounty would be interesting if I hadn't just bought Heroes V a few days ago.

A friend was mentioning Jamestown a few days ago--looks like a really fun, top-down arcade shooter. Shame the co-op is local only.

Hit F12 while in-game.
