I just passed Spatula for games played.
Other milestones I'm close to hitting:
- 2,000 knife kills (will be happy to get the knife back in my top 3 at 2,136)
- 200 Combat Excellence Pins
- 300 Nemesis Pins
- 10,000 kills with the SAW

re: Battlefield Talk
Fun couple of games with OG and Octo. We started out getting rolled a little bit, and once we got a foothold, we were just tearing it up. The highlight for me was the last couple of maps.
On Laguna Presa, I went 28 and 6 with a minimum of spawn camping...just rolling and shooting mostly. Then on Harvest Day, I had a crazy good game that I didn't get to see my stats on, but I would wager that I had 10 dogtags and probably went something like 20 and 2...just one of those maps where I keep running into dudes who are looking down their sites at somebody else, and...
Funny moment of the night was at the end of that last map. OG and I finally get into their base and I steal their tank, taking 3-4 guys with me but getting mortar struck in the process. I'm down to 5% health and am parked in the middle of their spawn, and my controller dies. They only had 5 tickets left, and I got to watch helplessly as I somehow survived the next 30 seconds in a broke ass tank.
Recharging now...may be back on in a bit.

In case you ever wondered how snipers get to some of their douchiest hiding spots...might come in handy for future wooking stabbing:

And this video, I just like...mixes some EA promotional stuff with captures from a few hours of gameplay:

I've been in two of those sniper spots - up on top of the UAV boat in Atacama Desert and on top of the windmill in Heavy Metal. I've taken out snipers in most of the Laguna Presa spots. Some of them are completely new to me (love that Arica Harbor one in the screenshot) and some don't make much sense like the crane off to the side of deployment in Atacama Desert. Not a whole lot of point to it.

Is that second video from the Beta or a non-PS3 version, or something? Subtle differences, like graphics and typeface isn't all in caps.

re: Battlefield Talk
Yeah, I think it's from the demo.
I got a silly urge to get the 40mm grenade pin, so I played a few rounds this morning. I got the pin on white pass but my team was getting rolled. We lost by 200 points, but I went 18 and 8 and got the ace pin by 1500 points. They kept stealing our Bradley and finding little presents I had left. Highlight was rolling into alpha and seeing one of the Bradleys raining fire into our spawn. Two mines and a grenade later...triple kill...triple tea bag.

re: Battlefield Talk
Was on a full map tonight playing against a bunch of dudes who were taking objectives but also had a few who loved to snipe, and they always seemed to be right in my line of fire. It was super competitive, and I'm not sure if I was just playing well (I was) or if they just weren't very good (not low level players), but man was I on a roll. With virtually no spawn camping (I did run up to stab a few snipers), I had some epic games that I wish some of you had been there to see.
Highlights:
- 17 Dogtags on a single map of Arica Harbor, almost all in natural play (ran up the hill once or twice to get snipers)
- K/D on that map was something like 42 and 14
- 6 Ace Pins in a row, and the closest was probably 1500
- On the Arica Harbor map x2, I was the Ace both times with a score of around 5500, and the next closest either round was under 3000
- Wrapped the night up Gustaving a Bradley on Oasis that had just killed me (switched from mines and two shots to the side)
- Overall dogtags over 2000
- Overall K/D up to 1.1
- Collected probably 60 dogtags total tonight...craziness.
Missed you knuckleheads.
Edit: I looked up my stat line for last night on BFBC stats:

re: Battlefield Talk
Suffice to say that I was less awesome Sunday night than I was Saturday night.
The lowlight was everyone getting booted from White Pass at the end of the night when I had 6-8 dogtags.

Ah I miss the Battlefield. Been so busy with work just haven't had the time really. That and I know I'm rusty as shit so I'd be getting owned every game. I keep hoping to get back into it, but the longer I go the less I want to get aggravated with it. Still it would be fun if it was with you guys, yes even you chess. LOL

And you are so absurdly close to level 50.

I still remember your very first game on Harvest Day...just marvelling at the destruction. "You can even blow up the ground???"

re: Battlefield Talk
So who drives you nuts in Battlefield?
For me, it's the "Hopper" This fucking douchebag hops constantly, often wears either body armor or lightweight and usually carries either a shotgun or a sniper rifle. As a bonus, this behavior removes any feeling of realism from the game because beside all of the destructible environments and stealthy strategic movement, this one prick is hopping around like he's on crack. I have a suspicion that this player has a turbo switch on his controller that constantly presses the jump button automatically, because I don't see how it's possible to do that and still aim effectively.
I will leave a map the second I see this guy, and I'll bet some of you know him by name.

re: Battlefield Talk
Good times with OG, Spatch and BJ tonight.
Highlight of the night for me:
This wookie kills me at Charlie on Panama Canal, and he's hiding on the left side of the main door tucked in the corner and crouched behind the rubble pile (a spot where I like to hide every now and then). I spawn on Charlie and run up the back stairs announcing that I'm going to stab this guy in the face as I run across the Charlie roof. Spatula had just gotten killed and got to watch in his spawn-cam as I jumped off the roof like freaking Batman, parachuted down and inside the building and stabbed that wookie prick right in his nugget.
You probably had to be there, but trust me, it was epic.
The other highlight was when we got split up with OG and me opposite Spatula and were overrunning his team pretty bad. OG split off to join them and then later I did. We turned the map around and ended up winning by 10-15 points.
Finally, I'm pleased to announce that the knife has recaptured a place in my top 3:

I nabbed a few, including one guy at least three times. He was mad.

re: Battlefield Talk
Rediscovering the knife is really opening this game back up for me. I'm giving serious thought to rolling the lightweight kit on my medic and going all Stabby McStabberson.
Thinking about it, I really miss Knives & Nades in Warhawk. It would never be the same without Chew chuckling in the background, but I'll bet we could still have some fun with it.

No, she's a ****.
And for the record, I can't take credit for the weekly "Game/Day. Expletive." construct. That was all Flipperbaby with the original:
Oh, and I'm in.
Bitches.
