Even if it was frustrating later in the evening, I had fun getting some nugget three-packs and just playing for the first time in forever. Too bad I couldn't convince that fourth guy to join our group-- he was in a good map and didn't want to bail. Shame because he's another good medic guy that could have helped our cause.

re: Battlefield Talk
I have a theory that I'd like to test.
I think when we squad up and then get in a game, we have a higher likelihood of joining a team that is getting rolled than we would if I went into a map solo and then you guys joined me. If the system is looking for a tea to put you on that is already 3-4 guys down, it's probably going badly for that team.
Just a thought. We'll try it next time. I can go in and get a gut check for whether it would be a good map and then send invites.

re: Battlefield Talk
Forgot the highlight of the night!
Flip had just dropped in at the tail end of Oasis, and I was in a good squad, so I stayed with them for the time being. I see Flip grab the Bradley from Bravo, and I hop in the gunner seat as a blueberry. The whole other team is either dug in at Charlie or moving from Charlie to Bravo, and we just go to work on them...probably 15-20 kills between the two of us over a 2-3 minute span, and I was
the whole time, particularly when we pulled into the backside of Charlie and just cleaned house.
It was one of those epic Battlefield moments that keep me coming back.
The other amusing thing (for me anyway) was a debate with Gordon about the relative merits of Arica Harbor vs Operation Metro.
Me: Yeah, Arica Harbor can be a grind, but at least you have some options.
Shum: You have options in Operation Metro
Me: Sure, you can go into the tunnel and die. What's the other option?

re: Battlefield Talk
I forced it in the graphics creation tools by using your name as my default view for the DVDTalk graphic. I doubt that's any clearer, but it's a trick I picked up.
I bumped you past Murray and Nic and was tempted to bump you past Cruz, Dingwog and Meatpants, since you're still actively playing (allegedly). It shouldn't be more than a night or two before you pass them all.

Posting from your phone again?
I'd like to see if that trick I was talking about will work. We were in some great games when Flip first joined me in game, but once we squaded up and joined some, they were all bloodbaths.
It was also Saturday night, and I find that weekends can be especially brutal.

If you guys ever want to force an update to your graphic, or at least I think this will work, click here:
http://bfbcs.com/graphics#g121855
Then click on the random username next to "Choosed Player", change the format to PS3 and type in your PSN ID. The graphic on that screen will show your most current stats, which should update it on here as well.
Also putting the link here as a shortcut for myself.

Got disconnected at the end there...thoughts tomorrow, but good times with r2, OG & Shum. Harvest Day was probably the funniest.

re: Battlefield Talk
Lowlight of the night was some douchebag blueberry Rambo reviving me in the middle of three dudes and with two empty guns. Needless to say, I got stabbed in the nugget and was raging a bit.
Otherwise, the theme of the night was mines. Everywhere.

re: Battlefield Talk
They only work against vehicles in Battlefield, and they don't stick to ceilings or vertical surfaces.
They're still douchey, but less so, and you are doing it to faceless douchebags with names like "get pwned" rather than friends. Also, flipping dunebuggies always brings the funny.
