Some rumblings of a Warhawk Friday. If we can get 8 confirmed, I'll hook it up.

Check the Warhawk thread.

So I just ordered Dead Island: Game of the Year Edition, which is $20 on Amazon. It has what looks like an entertaining 4 playing co-op if anybody is interested in beating zombies with pipes and such.

So I had a coworker ask about running some Horde mode on Resistance 2. I was wondering if there is anyone who still owns it and would like jump in on a night of blasting away an alien horde.

I forgot that I still have that game, I was completely bored by it. I'm down if i'm available on the night.

On a side note, I may have brought it up before but should we make Thursday night the rotating game night? Rotate in COD games 50% of the time and other games the rest of the time (I think that would be the other 50% if I did my math right).

If you guys consistently showed up for BC2, I'd consistently show up for BLOPS (the only one I have).

Who knows, you might even have some fun. BC2 is the shit.

I still have it, and woudl totally do that.

8 player hoard mode is uniquely badass IMO, but it does get a bit repetitive when you play frequently. It's a game I'd like to pop in about once a month.

The game we really should have done was Need For Speed Most Wanted.

This. Plus I haven't even played a FPS in many months, so I might not be much help.

In horde mode, you can afford to have a few rusty players. That game is a riot in small doses.

Say when.

Even though CoD is my way of mental therapy I'd be willing to toss in a couple of other multiplayer games and go to CoD on my own on another night. Bring back some Resistance 2, Red Dead Redemption, Burnout. I'd go back to some BC2 or BF3. One game I am dying to get some 4 player going would be Payback, Sauce and I went through a couple of levels and it was cool.

Anyone else have any other games/ideas they want to tryout.

I have NFS and that could be one we throw into the mix.

Re: Return of the Weekly Rotating Games Night (PS3)

I've cut my PS3 time pretty substantially over the past few weeks since I discovered that a couple of simple software mods could turn my dusty old Wii into a pretty impressive homebrew/emulator box. Other than 5-6 really memorable games, it's been a very disappointing console considering how much I have invested in it, but it's amazing as a "classic games box" hooked to my TV by component cable and with a wireless classic controller.

That said, I'm sure I'll migrate back once I'm done obsessing over titles only released in Japan and other hidden gems...or if one of you chuckleheads names a game/night. If nothing else, I'll be back on Battlefield this Friday.

I totally forgot about that.

The way it pays to have the classes positioned together in formation was pretty different. It kind of reminded me of a tower defense game that way.
