I have to agree with all of the complaints about the DLC. Look how EA is nickel and diming for this game:

Most of those courses were available for Tiger 11, not sure if they had to tweak much to get it to run on the new game. I'm okay with the $3.99 price for the courses that I am interested in, but I will wait until I play through the courses on the disc before I purchase anything new.

True, but other than the courses most if not all of it can be unlocked just by playing the game. And you're counting all of the courses twice, since they're available individually and in the 2 packs.

I do wish gamestop would put the code for Betpage up for sale on their site though, since it was the only one I was considering buying day 1.

Played a round of Augusta last night and was underwelmed by the presentation. The traditional fly over for each hole has been replaced with a 2 line introduction while the camera just goes up in the air. They really should've done great fly overs with more info on the history of each hole. Now I was just playing a quick play round, maybe the presentation gets better in the masters moments and Tiger at the Masters games.

Also this was my first time using the facial recognition program and despite all the lighting I used, the game made me black and I couldn't change it.

Amazon has dropped the price to $45 for the 360 and PS3 (regular edition) and $38 for the Wii. Since mine hasn't shipped yet, will they do an automatic price adjustment for me? Because spending $45 for the game while getting a $25 credit plus the $5 apology credit would be pretty sweet.

edit: did a quick chat online with Amazon. "I will follow up with your order and will issue a refund of $14.96 to your credit card as soon as your order is shipped."

Can I trouble you for the exact phrasing of your price adjustment request? I haven't had a lot of luck with these things lately.

edit: Ravindranath helped me in that he offered to refund my shipping charges. Um thanks, but I don't pay for shipping anyway.
edit again: Apparently this meant he was also refunding the $14.96.

I played this for awhile last night. Do any of you use the 3 click technique? I've always liked that much better than the swing stick thing, but I thought the 3 click was ridiculously hard on this game. I just have it on whatever difficulty it started out with and basically I can't hit a straight shot to save my life.

It goes so frickin fast than I either blow it early and slice the Hell out of it or sometimes I'm so late that it just duck hooks to God only knows where.

I just tried to play the first Masters moment which only means I have to get a birdie on 13 at Augusta and I can't even make par because even my chip shots end up being shanks because it goes so damn fast. I never remember the 3 click option being so difficult.

Am I doing something wrong or do I just suck major ass?

Are you using a fresh character will all 10's for stats? If so, that's the issue. When they changed the method to level up last year it became much harder, imo.

Yes, but as others have stated the duplicates collections of courses so $60 of that right away is duplicated.

All the sponsor/brand stuff are nothing more than quick cheats for people who don't want to play through the game and unlock each level 4 sponsorship through the challenges. They aren't terribly difficult and having them open from the start saps the fun of leveling up and increasing your skill.

I still agree, the prices on those courses (especially fantasy courses created by EA that require ZERO licensing) is obscene.

I was playing a President's Cup match on the International side with Adam Scott 'cept the announcer kept calling him Bubba(Watson). Those two kinda look similar in the game so maybe he was just confused Which brings me to one complaint(other than a few bugs as per usual) there's not many pros in this game. In order to fill the rosters for the President's Cup they have to add in the female golfers of which there's only 3 in total i think.

Really enjoying the game. I'm sure i will cave and get all the DLC courses and then kick myself when i see them on sale

Same here. I've been upgrading all of my putting stats to try and make it a bit easier, but I'm still occasionally missing 3-4 ft putts I'm guessing because I pull them offline. Frustrating to say the least...

While I have not received the game yet, according to a post on CAG, once again they've included the free golf magazine subscription that you can refuse to receive a $12 rebate:

"...If you would like a refund for magazine subscription, please complete this form, write refund on the top, and mail it, along with your qualifying purchase receipt, within 30 days to: (ed. Address Here) to receive a cash allowance for its stated value..."

I did this with TW 2010 - it took a while to receive my check, but it did come through.

So to recap: bought from Amazon for $60, got a $15 price adjustment along with a $25 credit, $5 apology credit, and a $12 golf magazine rebate
