Re: SSX: Deadly Decents

Medal of Honor, Tomb Raider, and now this. What is with this trend of releasing a new game with exactly the same name as the first game in the series?

Re: SSX: Deadly Decents

Nice, thanks.

This is more like the fun snowboarding game that I want to play.

Re: SSX: Deadly Decents

Delayed again... this time pushed back another two weeks. Now it comes out a week before Mass Effect 3.

Re: SSX: Deadly Decents

This comes out the day I start my ski/snowboard trip, was kind of hoping it'd be out before then.

Wouldn't be surprised if a chunk of The Art of Flight soundtrack makes an appearance here, especially that Ghosts n Stuff Nero Remix.

Re: SSX: Deadly Decents

So it looks like this is finally coming out next month. Hopefully we should have a demo soon in the next couple weeks. TRU also has it up online for $45 right now. Anyone picking this up at launch?

Re: SSX: Deadly Decents

I've got it pre-ordered at Amazon. Normally for a game like this I'd wait for reviews or a demo. But I love the SSX series.

Re: SSX: Deadly Decents

Some of the later trailers make this game more appealing to me. Will probably pick it up.

I cannot wait for this game. I want it more than Mass Effect 3 right now. And I really enjoyed the first two Mass Effect games.

Re: SSX: Deadly Decents

Damn, why did I watch those videos, went ahead and preordered the ps3 version at amazon. After sales tax and the credit it works out to only like $2.50 more than toys r us for me with the release day delivery.

Re: SSX: Deadly Decents

This game looks like it is going to be the dope-scene. However, I am a little bummed that they've seemed to dial back the crazy-fun elements back. SSX 3 seems to have the perfect blend of great snowboarding action coupled with crazy locals and environments. I'm not seeing a lot of that in these trailers, but the mountain does look to have some nice jumps build in. Has anyone seen a trailer that shows a track that is like the one from SSX 3 that was set in the midst of buildings?

Re: SSX: Deadly Decents

I dabbled with it for about an hour. Man I suck. But it’s a fun suck. Every time I perform a move in mid air, I don’t finish the moves quick enough and keep crashing into the ground. Flipping on the pipes was easier than I thought although I keep missing jumps. I just need more practice to get the hang of it.
The graphics are gorgeous. Will be buying this next Tuesday. I doubt I’ll master this like some others I know, but it is fun to play.
I know this is more of a serious SSX unlike Tricky, but I do hope they release a crazy funhouse type track for a DLC sometime in the future.
