Only some misc quests will show up. Good luck getting the Nirnroot quest to tell you where that stupid plant is. I wish there was a mod for it like there is one for the "unfinished stone."

I said fuck it and ended up marrying Hroki. You won't find someone as nubile and hot in all of Skyrim. Kudos to the barely legal. :hump:

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011

well I disabled all my mods, deleted corrupted saves and started playing again. Seemed fine for a while but sure enough the problem came back. Also have another issue now appearing which is fast travel is not working. I know there is a mod for no fast travel, but I haven't even downloaded that. I go to the map and try clicking on locations and it doesn't work. This game with mods running is seriously buggy.

Tomorrow I am deleting all mods and reinstalling. Enabling one at a time and playing slowly, maybe add one mod a day. Any mods that appear to duplicate others, well i will only download and enable one. I don't want conflicts with similar mods.

By the way, I am noticing there doesn't seem to be an easy way to delete saves from within the game. I thought you could go to the Load menu and click from there to delete, but does not appear possible. Very shitty.

Seems like all these mods you guys clamor for are actually kind of a nightmare since they can potentially fuck your game up. And a game that takes 100+ hours of your time is not one I would want to have corrupted.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011

Well I deleted all my mods save 3 and re-downloaded a few and started again. But reading the Bethesda site it seems this game is still buggy as hell. Roll on a new update. I believe a PC update came out today, but not sure if a PS4 update has also been released.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011

So I read today that the save problem does not seem to be directly linked to mods and people have started to experience it whilst playing the vanilla game as well. I see a new 400mb update was released today for the PS4 so hoping that this solves the problem. I did experience about 10 mins of serious serious lag as well today. It reminded me of the lag the first time around. I seriously hope this update addresses these issues. You would think after 5 years and a more powerful system they would have ironed out every crease.

Update: I read that the update does not fix the problem. By all accounts on the Bethesda site this issue is with the game itself and not Mod related. So they have released this game twice for PlayStation and both times it has come with a game breaking problem out the gate.

Great.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011

I have always been skeptical about trying this game because I hated Fallout 3, but I have to say this game is awesome. And looks fucking gorgeous on the Pro.
I did have to bump the difficulty all the way down because I was getting destroyed. Still have to be crafty against some enemies to kill them even on the easiest difficulty. I don't know if I am trying to do stuff too early or I just suck.
Also, are there any unattractive broads in Skyrim?

Eh, was going to pass on the Remaster (as a rule, I hate and avoid them, even when I purchase them), but for $25 at Best Buy, I figured why not? If nothing else, the mods should be fun.

I went and got my 25 bucks or so back for each of the two copies I purchased a couple of weeks ago. I also got about 20 backs for Battlefield 1. Hell of a deal on both at Best Buy for these.

How do you get Skyrim for 25$ at best buy? The website still says 59$

Hot damn glad I checked this thread. I'm an Elite member and just order it for $25. Was actually planning to get it soon anyway or maybe ask for it as a gift.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011

I'm sorry that I did not mention that. I did the math and got 69 bucks plus change back from 3 recently bought games. Well worth the trip to Best Buy. It was a little hassle as they had to return the 3 purchases (without having a copy to return) and I had to pay them again with the new prices.

Not sure why, but people keep telling me I don't look well all of a sudden. Do you actually need to rest in this game or is this normal?

Welp...either you are a vampire or you got bitten by a Frost Spider or something which could have given you a disease. ;) So feel free to take care of that (assuming you can) at your earliest convenience.

Edit: And you should rest once in a while...but it's more than likely one of the first two.

You do need rest. It's also possible that you may have turned into a vampire - that can also illicit such responses.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011

I did come across some vampires in a cave, but none of them bit my neck or anything lol. I fought one or two and got the hell out of there. And I actually just joined the vampire hunters group (forget the name) last night and they didn't say anything so hopefully it's not that.
I know I ran into some albino spiders, can't remember if I fought any Frost Spiders though.
I will make sure to rest when I play tonight, because I don't see anything indicating I have any kind of ailment.

You've gotta look in a mirror.

You have a disease. You should see it under "active effects" (magic tab). Animals can give you diseases and vamps can turn you. Pray at a shrine (click on a temple icon) to cure most diseases or take a potion... if it isn't to late.

Thanks for the help guys. I did have two active ailments, but I was able to get rid of them at he Temple of Mara.

I'm new to the game and I just found out the hard way you don't kill the Riverwood chicken.

Ha! Well if you kill your witness (this includes the cows), sometimes you can get away with it ;).

By the way, I should be getting the remaster for Christmas (I think my wife got it for me).

....and for more experienced Elder Scrolls fans, Oblivion is now backwards compatible with the Xbox One. I bought a digital copy during the Black Friday sale for $5 and then used my GOTY discs last night to get Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine loaded. Finally, it looks like if you go to manage, Mehrunes Razor shows up for free to install.

What is the current status...or involvement of this now? In the PS+ Store the normal version is $15 and I've always thought about grabbing this but the game is close to 1.5yrs old and wonder if this is one where a lot came in when it was released but not so now. Plus even if I did get in I figure or wonder about how long to get up and if some are around to do co-op and other parts?
