Loving this game and have barely scratched the surface after 10 hours. Have a few questions.

1) Anyway to view if I have a bounty on my head at any given time?
2) Anyway to remove my bounty besides a guard? If a guard does remove the bounty, does he remove all stolen items..pretty sure they do?

Also I finished up the quest (first quest) for the
Spoiler:
golden claw at bleak falls barrows
and I happened to notice there is an achievement for beating that area but I didn't get it....is it a glitch or it something I missed or didn't do or something completely different?

You should be able to see if you have a bounty in the general stats menu. I don't know about having them removed.

Paying a bounty does indeed cause you to forfeit all your stolen goods.

Don't worry about it, you'll get it later during a conversation - the achievement refers to clearing that dungeon for the main story campaign, not the Golden Claw you went in there for.

BTW, Is anyone going to attempt their own "racial cleansing" quest in this game? That's when you just go off on your own and kill every single NPC that's not your character's race. In this game it would work best if you're playing a Nord. But either way, it's not something you'll want try until you've exhausted most of the quests already. I tried it in Oblivion, but there were way too many other races - seems less of an issue in SkyRim.

Seriously...I'm convinced they made all the kids assholes specifically because you can't hurt them. What a bunch of pricks!

Yeah genocide is fine as long as you leave the kids out of it

Guess I'll just have to take comfort in making them orphans instead - I wonder if I could sneak and pickpocket their shoes or something...

You can't even pickpocket kids. I noticed this while pickpocketing every living being I've encountered so far in the game.

Probably a safety measure so you can't reverse pickpocket some poison onto them.

Woohoo, finally got my game today. :)

Question, have Bethesda released the patch yet? I want to install for the 360 but someone post to hold off till they released the patch to fix some graphic bug.

I'm Canadian. Genocide isn't ever fine. Except for male gingers, the pretty females can stay.

The graphical bug refers to an issue in which far away textures don't improve as you get closer to them, but this only happens with people who are playing the game after it has been installed on their 360. Playing off the game disc shouldn't give you any graphical errors.

Is a archer good companion for destruction Mage? I don't to have to deal with blowing up a warrior

Whoever draws attacks away from you is a good companion for a mage IMO.

I just got the Prima guide today. Mostly for the first section giving more detailed information on skills and other stuff that should have been in the manual. Taking into account the $10 credit I got for pre-ordering the game from amazon and free shipping I got it for $6. My god is it big, 656 pages and a full size detailed map. Wow, maybe even more intimidating than the game.

I have a question. My gf (the one unable to update due to lack of internet) is playing on a smaller, older 32" tube 720 HD TV. The graphics look good but the text (including menu items, descriptions, and subtitles) is almost unreadable. Aparently the graphic problems are only if the game is fully installed, which her's isn't. Is it her TV or can something else be done?

I got the guide, too, and yes it's huge

I wish you could kill some of the kids, too. Oh, how I long for the days of the old where in games like Fallout you could just kill anything.

If I recall correctly tubes are actually interlaced, so its doesn't play well with 720p. We used to have that same problem when we'd play rockband on my friends old rear-projector, the refresh want fast enough, so the text would look weird. Try setting your console to output 480p.

Early on loving the dungeons.

About what level should I tackle the Black Burrow's place (golden claw) I'm level 3 right now.

Anyone having issues with Follower stupidity? Like in the Golden Claw Quest..there is a trap that you can avoid, but the follower keeps on triggering it over and over again. Farendahl got hit with the same trap 3 times before he finally figured it out.

I was around that same lvl when I went through that dungeon. It was pretty easy. You should be fine.
