Skyrim is a single player game. You're probably looking for the Elder Scrolls Online thread.

What is the current status...or involvement of this now? In the PS+ Store the normal version is $15 and I've always thought about grabbing this but the game is close to 1.5yrs old and wonder if this is one where a lot came in when it was released but not so now. Plus even if I did get in I figure or wonder about how long to get up and if some are around to do co-op and other parts?

Yep...my fault...wrong forum....thanks.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011
Hello
Two of us saw where this is up in the PS Store for $20.00 during Black Friday week. I frankly know hardly much about the game but have played the Elder Scrolls Online quite a bit....two characters at 70 and one about half-way. But I was hoping for a bit more "co-op & group" play with it so now I'm playing Neverwinter. But it's no-where near the visual aspect of ESO but probably far more in depth with gear and optional add-ons I understand this is all single player but are there companions AI that tags along on quests? In ESO there's good deal of various crafting and is it the same with Skyrim...metal, food, clothing, etc. And I believe I saw in earlier posts that 100 hours is not unusual right? I need another game like I need another monthly bill and plus just got Horizon: Zero Dawn. I also saw where The Witcher: Wild Hunt is same price as Skyrim V not to mention Dragon Age: Inquisition GotY Edition (at $10.00) which sort of intrigued me as well. But I've always liked that sort of Knights, Vikings and Wizards Mythical setting |
Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011
The Witcher is easily the best of those, the initial game is huge, and the added DLC is more than generous - it's a lot of great game there, go for that!
Though being a bit familiar with Witcher lore, or at least having played Witcher 2 helps, but it's not necessary. |
Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011
Anyone else interested in the Anniversary Edition dropping on Thursday? I wasn't at first since I thought the $20 upgrade only offered new weapons and armor but apparently there's a ton of quests associated with them. Survival mode and Fishing sound awesome as well.
This will be my 4th time Purchasing Skyim so I guess I'm a sucker  |

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011
I'm thinking about it though I'd like to get back into ESO which I've taken a break from for several months....I just hate that monthly fee to get the extra stash space which is almost needed...it's going to be loaded for sure .. Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011
This release may suck me back in. I haven't played the game since it's initial launch. Just wish it wasn't quite so expensive after so many other re-releases of it over the years.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011
I bought the Special Edition about a year ago when it was on sale and started replaying it about 2 weeks before the Anniversary Edition was announced.
Hadn't played it since getting it for the 360 (and not finishing it). I'll probably get the AE upgrade - assuming it doesn't kill my saves. I don't care about fishing (fishing and escort missions are two of my most hated gaming actvities) but I'm open to the other content. I'm a good chunk into the game, but still a lot of game left, so I'd be fine with upgrading for the remainder of it. Not finished Witcher 3 either, I was waiting for the S/X Upgrade to restart that but who knows when that'll come. |

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011
Skyrim Anniversary Edition launches for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC tomorrow, November 11. It will cost $49.99, while those who already own Skyrim Special Edition can upgrade to the Anniversary release for $19.99.
The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Anniversary Edition Trailer Hypes up Imminent Launch (gamingbolt.com) I don't see anything on the Xbox store about it either; but at least there is an upgrade option, instead of buying the game again for too many times. Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011
Anyone picked it up (or upgraded) yet? Anything noticeable to look for?
Because the SE is on Gamepass, GP members can get the AE upgrade for 17.99. Apparently fishing is really easy but still somewhat absorbing and relaxing. And for those of you who waited, now you can get Spoiler:
|
Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011
can you buy the upgrade and be able to use it if you only have the SE thru GP?

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011
I've been replaying this via the PS5 edition. It runs great and the file is super small now. I did not buy the anniversary edition stuff but may do that later on. None of my PS4 stuff ported over, so I started from scratch. The loading times are non-existent, too.
|
Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011
I played Skyrim a year or two ago with whatever complete PS4 edition was available at the time. Good game, but I can't imagine going back through it all again. I think it took me close to a year to complete.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011
There was a big update for the PS4 recently - wonder what it could've been after all this time.
|
Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011
I have been debating getting this game since I bought a PS4 during the pandemic. I played it, well, 10 years back, when I had an Xbox 360. I remember being single that year :p

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011
Anniversary Edition now on sale for $39.99 on Amazon.ca and $29.99 (Amazon.com). Well, that's a good deal considering how much time you can invest in this puppy so I finally pulled the trigger. Now, to design my kitty cat. :p
