Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011
I logged on for a couple of hours last night and saw more new Mods and updates for existing mods. I am enjoying playing this again and its fun just playing it for the sake of playing it. Not taking it seriously at all (except trying to not let innocents get killed by my own hand). The Mods are a god send for me to play through everything without worrying about it taking me forever again. I reckon it will still probably burn 100 hours of my life in the end. i just really enjoy this world.
Oh, and i did get my first game crash and error message. Hopefully thats a rare occurrence.

Yeah, I played it for a while yesterday and got two crashes. These were after I installed the mods. Played for a few minutes today.

Played another hour or two last night. I came across a large home out in the middle of nowhere that is one of the Mods and it's rather fantastically designed. Literally got room for everything and the war room has a tonne of marquis, chests and places to hang weapons. Whoever created it did a good job.
Oh and I accidentally killed Lydia outside the building. I was tempted to reload, but she has been pissing me off. Can't recall if I need her for any future quests but I guess I can live with missing out.
One thing I have noticed is that in the old version the game would experience massive slow down the more items on screen or in inventory. Glad to see they have sorted this as it now runs very smoothly.

I'm avoiding the main quest and doing the misc missions. I couldn't help myself and joined the Thief Guild. I also used the mod where you can buy that special ring that lets you carry 100000 worth of crap in your inventory without having to store anything. It's great.

I see Sofia has been ported. Fully voiced follower mod and damn funny. Get her if she is available on your system. Highly recommended.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011
So I encountered my first big problem with a mod. I keep getting a message on screen saying I need to free up disk space as I have none available (I have 800gb free on my drive at this moment). It's also now giving me fail error messages when I try loading my last 3-4 old saves. I am not sure which mod is causing the problem and guess I will have to go through them one at a time to figure it out. Pretty annoying. It reminded me the number of times I lost game saves for the PS3 Skyrim as well.
Anyone know a page on Reddit or elsewhere that's informing people of the mods and problems? I will keep updating the mods in the meantime as well.

Hmmm, may have to install Sofi into the game. Lydia is annoying as fuck with her bored ass. I saw what Sofi looked and was like damn - you can follow me anywhere.

Yeah Lydia is rather annoying. I am always tempted to kill her, but with followers I don't like I usually just leave them somewhere, a lot of times in one of my homes.

So it seems i am not the only person experiencing the problem with the storage prompt and corrupted save files.

...The PS4 version’s space for mods is limited to just 1 GB, while the Xbox One has 5 GB reserved for add-ons. Xbox players can also tap into a variety of assets (like scripts, textures and sound files) while PS4 users can’t upload any external assets at all.

So far so good. I looked and did not find Sofi in the mods, so I'm still with Lydia's tired ass. Been playing all day since I was off of work. Still with that Thief mission.

That is a shame, I'm guessing Sony will not allow the Sofia mod. Available on PC and Xbox One.
Falskaar, huge DLC sized mod will not be ported to PS4 either.

Unfortunately for the PC version one of the best mods SkyUI is not available for the special edition (and it doesn't look like it will ever be). This mod made the interface for the computer when playing with the mouse and keyboard much more enjoyable. I don't think I will play the special edition until this mod or one similar to it is available.

Finally let Sylvia go and substituted her for that blonde Hroki? She's got big cans and is in Markath, I believe. I just equipped her with the mod Knightengale armor since I already the enchanted version of it.

Well i played again last night and continued to have the storage error, bei9ng unable to save and older saves being corrupted. I went through my Mods and disabled a number that seemed to replicate existing effects and a couple of felt i didnt need and the problem seems to have been fixed. For the moment anyway.

I like your choice mate. I am gonna seek her out. And that Knightengale armor is sweet. I have been looking to get a decent set of something to wear for my character and thats the sweet spot.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011
Well logged on again this morning and once again he storage problem raises its ugly head. This is like Deus vu with the initial release of the game on PS3 and problems with that. Seriously thinking about giving up on the game until this problem is solved as I hate having hours of play wasted for nothing. I tried deleting what appeared to be corrupted saves and that did nothing as well. Tried quick save and then tried manual save....both give the same problem. I even had the error appear mid game when not even saving.

One thing I dislike so far---am I doing it wrong or does that map not show misc objectives? I know it can flood the map sometime with all those way points but I actually liked that.

If you mean quest objectives, they're there on PC. The quest must be selected... I think for misc. both the misc. category and the quest itself must be selected.
