Re: Black Friday Video Game Discussion

I almost exclusively go with Amazon's BF deals now. Between tax free + (free) Prime, it's not worth the hassle of going out to the stores, especially with a little one.

That being said, I'm definitely going to save more money towards Steam's Holiday Sale this year as well.

Yes, but i only have so much money to spend on games and $10 point cards are much rarer than the BF deals.

Re: Black Friday Video Game Discussion

I stocked up on the equivalent Fallout NV coupons and then both my local Kmart stores ran out of 1600 point cards before the coupon became active. Just a word of warning; I was almost stuck with coupons I couldn't use for anything I actually wanted. Get to the store early on the 28th.

I have 4 stores within driving distance, one of which still had 3 Lips bundles w/ 2 mics for $15 I was able to use some fallout coupons on (God bless cheap Christmas gifts). I was at a store today and they still had an epic mickey case. I am hopeful I'll be able to use all of my coupons, but I will go early. This is like the best secrete deal ever.

Shitty. Thanks for the tip guys. I think I may just go Costco route if I ever decide to break for an XB. WIth a 17 game backlog for PS3 alone... I think Im good. And I know Ill get at least one new thing on BF

I didn't mean to imply that they fail as often. Just that if it does happen, it'll be a surprise. I haven't heard many stories of them failing, but it hasn't even been six months yet.

This post is full of truths and justices.

Even if they don't match, my time and sanity are worth more than the hassle involved going out on that wretched day.

Hell, I just about lost it when I went to TRU this past Friday to pick up one damned game...I've never ventured out on Black Friday, and after last week's experience, I won't step foot in anything but a grocery store until after Xmas.

Ugh, yeah.. I live in/near a very "upscale" area and I think it's exponentially worse here. One of my friends wanted to go to the Disney Store on Saturday since he had a coupon for Toy Story 3 and if I had known now the time and traffic involved (for a mall two miles from my place) I would have bought him a copy on Amazon and covered the difference (if there even was one) out of my pocket.

Needless to say, I'm with you, nothing but groceries until 2011.

Some of the BB games are live for RZ Silver members. Just ordered Fifa 11.
You can't do in-store pickup though unfortunately.

Amazon has some crazy good deals on games this year for BF. I am hoping to pick up at least AC: Brotherhood, and NFS: Hot Pursuit.

I wonder how quick they sell out?
