The free Sam and Max was nice, but I also picked up Strong Bad and Tales of Monkey Island when they were half price. I really liked the demo, but need to play through my Telltale backlog before buying BTTF so I will wait for at least a sale.

The subscription thing is definitely why they are going with PS3 and not 360. I think one of the Telltale people was on a 1UP podcast and mentioned that Sony allows them to sell the subscription bundle, but Microsoft doesn't have that set up for Live. I think they tried just selling the individual episodes on 360 for Wallace and Gromit, but I guess it didn't do well enough for them to try it again on Live.

Then perhaps they should scrap the episodic structure.

I tried the first episode in my PC, the free one, and I just loved it. I only played for like 10 minutes, but I really like the vibe, it's a pretty simple game, even for this kind of game. Great voice work, the guy that does Marty McFly did a really good job there.

Has anyone attempted to play this on the iPad? It's a buggy mess. I actually feel duped, that's how bad it is.

No. I heard that it was a mess. Glad I got it for the PC but it's so boring IMO... I've yet to complete the first chapter.

Re: Telltale Games Back to the future episodic Adventure game!

I wonder how they'll handle the remaining episodes for PS3. Telltale must have really hated the PSN intrusion, as it messed up their schedule. Episode 3 was supposed to be released May 3, but was, ahem, delayed. So now episode 3 is finally on the store, and I wonder if they'll release episode 4 when it was planned, or wait.

Meanwhile, the last one (5) for the PC should be out very soon.

This game has such a perfect ending. I can't believe I waited this long to finish it.

So bumping an old thread but thought some might be interested to know that Telltale is re-releasing this game for X-Box One and PS4 on October 13th to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the original film. It'll have updated voice work from Thomas Wilson and updated textures. It'll be available in both physical and digital formats.

I have this sucker on Xb1 pre-order (physical) since it comes out the same day as Wasteland 2...can't wait. Should be a blast as I never played this when it was released the first time.

I have it on Steam, but I might go for this on Xbox, just to use up the credit I have. hmm..

I played this for the first time a year or so ago after being a big fan of The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us. I found it to be extremely mediocre and an absolute chore to get through.

Hmm, I wonder if saves will carry over. I started it this summer. I'm on episode 3 or 4. It's good but not great... kind of a chore, like Questyen said. Certainly not worth replaying if I can't bring my save game over.
