The latest interview with John Drake over on RBA has a little info on RB3 DLC. Looks like "standard" DLC (+ keys) will remain the same price, but pro-guitar stuff will be a little more. I'm going to guess that they have a way to offer the "upgrade" as a separate download. That way they can offer up some of the legacy songs and you don't have to repurchase them at the new price, but just buy the pro charts for $1-2 or whatever they decide to charge.

Listened to and watch all the charts of the Snoop DLC this morning and decided I'm just getting What's My Name and Drop It Like It's Hot. That's one more than I planned when the pack was unveiled.

A couple of those songs were already available and just not on the error420 site. I'm not sure if his script died or what. I know that Kataklysm song was already in the RBN store last week.

There needs to be an official HMX announcement feed for those things. I can't imagine they don't know when something is approved and published so telling us would be a lot easier than having users do screen scrapes.

Twitter or an RSS feed or something that's passive for the clients. I like knowing immediately and hate having to actively check :)

So, the Snoop songs ARE re-records. Not particularly great ones, either. I picked up "What's My Name?" blind, but I won't be buying the other two songs that I had originally planned on getting. :sad:

Well, they do publish a list every day that something goes up over on the RBN site. However if you don't have an XNA account, you can't get in.

I guess someone probably goes and posts that up on the regular RB forums as well, but I hardly ever venture over there. the error420/RBNReleases thing is pretty good. He just had a couple day hiatus, I guess. Maybe his system reset and he was on vacation for Labor Day or something.

I don't mind the re-records on certain songs. Something had to be done to make the tracks more RB-friendly. I'll get "What's My Name?", "Drop It Like It's Hot" and maybe "Beautiful." The re-records didn't kill me enthusiasm for the songs I wanted all along... but I agree that some don't work all that well.

I ended up just picking up 'what's my name.' Admittedly i don't really like the re-record very much, but I'm too much a fan of the original to pass it up

I was toying with the idea of getting the Snoop pack but after hearing them went with just What's My Name and Drop It Like It's Hot. May grab beautiful but the other stuff I was kind of looking forward to doesn't sound too good IMO.
