Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
The new Xbox Live beta seems to be having trouble with certain Rock Band and Guitar Hero peripherals. I can confirm all 4 Beatles instruments will no longer work (at least in the 3 I tried: RB3, TB:RB and GD:RB) though the RB3 keyboard and controller/mic combos still work.
They all work find on the dash but are completely unresponsive in-game.

I was excited to see Killswitch Engage, but then let down "This Fire Burns" isn't included. So, I'll pass.

Next week's DLC was accidentally put up early on the 360 Marketplace (and pulled).
This could change if HMX wants to throw a curveball, but that's what was found for those few minutes.

I tested it out with a GH guitar, and same thing. Also doesn't work in Guitar Hero games either.

DLC Week of 8/14 - 2 Tracks From Foreigner and a Nightwish Single!
Hey gang,
The library of tracks from classic rock group Foreigner grows on August 14th, when two of the band’s biggest hits come to the Rock Band Music Store! First is the popular track “I Want To Know What Love Is,” from 1984’s Agent Provocateur, which reached number one on charts in both the United States and the United Kingdom in the 80s! Another popular Foreigner power ballad, “Waiting for a Girl Like You,” will also be available. Off of the band’s fourth studio record, 1981’s 4, it’s one of Foreigners most well-known tracks, peaking at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100!
Finish symphonic metal group Nightwish has consistently placed among the top 10 artists in the Community Wishlist in the Rock Band Dashboard application, available now on Facebook. Harmonix is excited to have the opportunity to listen to its community, and bring this highly requested artist to Rock Band for the first time! Nightwish makes their debut in Rock Band with “Amaranth,” the second single from 2007’s Dark Passion Play, along with optional support for Pro Guitar and Pro Bass!
Available on Xbox 360, Wii and PlayStationŽ3 system (August 14th, 2012):
• Foreigner – “I Want to Know What Love Is” O
• Foreigner – “Waiting for a Girl Like You” O
• Nightwish – “Amaranth” O X

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
For whatever reason, the RB folks said they were going to post the announcement an hour early today.
And so they did.
At any rate, couldn't care less about Nightwish (but good for all the people that seem to want them.)
On the other hand, I'm really happy about the massive 80s love the past few weeks. Whitesnake, Cutting Crew, and now a nice dose of 80s Foreigner, power ballad style. Very nice. Now if we could only get more from INXS and The Cure sometime soon...

Amaranth is a kick ass tune.
6 months of checking this thread finally pays off! This will be my first RB purchase since the last Dream Theater tune.

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
Either they lost a song (there are 19 known songs and there are supposedly 25 songs total) or their math is bad. Edit: they have admitted to bad math on Twitter and said 6 songs would be announced.
In any case, here are the 6 leftover songs from that leaked list:
Moves Like Jagger- Maroon 5
Stronger (What Doesn't Kill you)- Kelly Clarkson
Death on Two Legs- Queen
These Days- Foo Fighters
Give It Away- Red Hot Chili Peppers
Spoonman- Soundgarden
