I'm so incredibly sick of Rock of Ages. I would have loved to see "Too Late For Love" included here, but oh well.

Not too happy about Animal and Pour Some Sugar being live versions, but we will see. Some live versions aren't death knell, but a lot unfortunately are. But if it does pan out well, I will have 6 new songs to sing.

Wish "Armageddon It" and "Let's get Rocked" were included, but I can't complain. Been waiting on some more Leppard since RB3 came out, but it's finally coming.

"Pour Some Sugar On Me" is pretty good on the Mirrorball album. "Animal" is just okay though.

The pack needs more High 'n' Dry, but it would be foolish to expect it. In for the pack and pro upgrades.

No High 'n' Dry (Saturday Night)? Come on.

Live versions = Fail. Really? Hasn't HMX learned yet?

I'll get "Bringin' On The Heartbreak" and "Rock of Ages."

This isn't necessarily true. Most of HMX's live versions have been pretty damn good. I know I don't really have any complaints, outside of sometimes the vocals being a little different than what I'm used to. However, that's something I can adapt to pretty quickly.

Usually the only time that HMX is going to choose a live version over a studio version is if there's something wrong with the original master tracks. I don't know if that's the case here, but GH also used a live version of Pour Some Sugar on Me as well.

Personally, I'd rather take a live version of a song I like than never have the chance to play that song in-game at all. Also, a live version is preferable to a (shudder) cover.

Awesome! More Def Leppard.

Not crazy about the live tracks as they are never as good as studio versions.

But Rock of Ages, Photograph, and Bringin' On the Heartbreak will more than make up for it!

I don't think it's a matter of learning. It's more of a matter of "either live versions or nothing"

Or rerecords (I'm looking at you Spinal Tap).

I'd have been happy with Too Late For Love over Pour Some Sugar on Me. Sugar is more overplayed, even though I still enjoy it. Rock of Ages doesn't get nearly as much play on radio stations as it once did.

GH3 had a cover of the Stone Roses' 'She Bangs the Drums' that was surprisingly spot-on.

What... Jimmy Buffet doesn't get a stare down for Margaritaville? Salt, salt, salt! Or Brian Setzer's Stray Cat Strut?

I'd rather have nothing and, FOR ME, that's how it will be. I'm not a music afficionado. I listen to the radio 95% of the time for my music. And with a few exceptions of knowing the original version of a song over the radio edit, unless it had more airplay as a live version, FOR ME, I don't see the point of purchasing it. RB examples: Wings Maybe I'm Amazed, Rush Closer to the Heart, KISS Rock n Roll All Night are 90% played as the live version on the radio.

I'm not saying I'm a professional singer, but I don't play with friends. To compensate, I will play vox and guitar at the same time and in doing so, I can't look away from the guitar/bass charts to see if I'm hitting vox notes correctly. I have to go by what I've memorized/what is familiar.

I guess they couldn't get the stems from the HYSTERIA album...

Still, I want full album HIGH N DRY. Where's my Mirror Mirror? How come no Switch 625 outro for Bringin' On The Heartbreak? Let It Go? FFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU---

I'd take "On Through the Night" and "Lady Strange", too.

The masters are available, they're just trying to promote their current album, which is a live album.

Proof masters exist... Joe & Phil playing around with tracks on a soundboard... checking out the mix, isolating instruments, etc

There are other segments in the same documentary where they do much of the same with other tracks

I already have everything of those I want. Weird that it's the new Bon Jovi pack (RB3) but the old Queen pack. I may have bit on the upgrade for those now.

Opinion. I really want the Bon Jovi pack (Glam Head 4 life). Do you folks think it will get cheaper than 1200 pts anytime in the next 3-6 months? The only reason I ask is because I have 800 points currently in my account, and this would require me to buy a card if I want it. The 1600 initially put me off big time, 1200 is certainly more managable but I can't help the cheapness in me is creeping out.

I'd predict not on that. If there was a deep sale on that specific pack it'll be part of the Holiday XBLM deals at the end of December. But it's a gamble and there are plenty of other packs that have never been on sale they could offer, if they did any at all.

Good point. My other reasoning is that the pack is 12 songs, 3 of which are RB3 upgrades (which since I am primarily a vocalist do nothing for me) and 3 of the songs I could care less for (Born to Follow, Who Says You Can't Go Home, and Have a Nice Day) which leaves me with 6 songs. If I buy them individually, that's 960. True...I am basically paying 1 1/2 songs worth for some upgrades and 3 not so good songs but it is still a consideration.
