I'm FINALLY getting one of those Fender wooden guitar controllers. Someone on CAG found it at Micro Center for $69.99 + $6 shipping. I've wanted one for ages, but it was always so expensive. Almost grabbed it last winter when Amazon sold it for $100, but passed and was regretting that ever since.

Saw this at CAG and picked one up as well. I splurged an extra 3 bucks and got two day shipping. Damn Amazon prime has spoiled me.
Which one did you get Decker? I nabbed the candy apple finish since I had the sunburst regular controller.

Guess that means Gaga is the 24th. I may get (assumed) "Born this Way" just so my kid can sing the Weird Al lyrics. Yeah... That's why.

I'm officially a little more excited about the Ozzy DLC:
(From RockBandAide) A recent post on Ozzys site tells us that the 8-pack will include 3 remastered classics from each album, along with two hits not included on either of the previously mentioned albums. Songs mentioned by name in Ozzys post include:
* Mr. Crowley
* Over the Mountain
* Bark at the Moon
* Mama, Im Coming Home
Add Diary of a Madman and I'm set for life on Ozzy solo DLC

Got my wooden fake guitar in today and tried it out this evening. Build quality is excellent. I was worried about overdrive working correctly since it seems almost every guitar I have ever had (RB or GH) it never seems to work properly. Overdrive works perfectly. The fucker is heavy and after a 10 song session, I started to get a little shoulder/neck strain just because I am not used to the weight.
Also got a little left hand finger strain since the buttons are a little larger and wider which makes you space out your fingers more.
The strum bar clicks like a GH guitar which sucks (I like the quiet RB strummer) but it is not mushy feeling like the RB guitars. Big thumbs up on this one. Maybe one day I will quit being a pussy and start playing a real guitar. Until then, this one works great. Highly recommended!

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
Apparently various places are posting a non-confirmed Ozzy pack. I'm not sure where it's coming from, so I'll just quote RBA:
Although I'd love to have complete albums, that list is solid. I just hope all songs get Pro charts.
It looks like the track list for the May 31st Ozzy Osbourne DLC has been released, as an 8-track listing seems to have popped up on various sites across the web, although none appear to be attributing an official source, so you might want to take this info with a grain of salt until it is officially confirmed by Harmonix.
The eight songs reportedly being released are:
Mr. Crowley
Steal Away (The Night)
I Dont Know
Flying High Again
Over the Mountain
Diary of a Madman
Mama, Im Coming Home *
Bark at the Moon *
Now, heres the kicker. See the asterisk on the two songs above? It is being reported that these two tracks will not be available individually, rather only as part of the larger pack. And the Ozzy post from earlier this week mentioned that Pro Guitar/Bass features are only included as part of the pack, as well. We reached out to Harmonix to see if theres any clarification they can provide, and were anticipating a post on RockBand.com to hopefully clear up a few things. We will update this post if more details on any pack-exclusive features.

From http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/3...urn_May_24.php :
It'll take a little while for new content to trickle in, though:
...although I'm out of town on 5/27, so I hafta wait until June to play 'Working for the Weekend'. Sadness.
Barring any additional problems, Sony plans to bring the PlayStation Store back online next Tuesday, May 24, according to a memo sent to Sony's game developer and publishing partners.
5/24 - Content planned for 4/26
5/27 - Content planned for 5/3
5/31 & 6/3 - Content planned for 5/10, 5/17 & 5/24

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
Stupid RB3 question (360):
Is there any way to save a new default song sorting? I like it sorted by band, but having to switch it from sorted by song every time is a bit of a pain.

Nope. I like it sorted (currently) by Stars. Seems like a simple thing, don't it? #sackofhacky

Hey brian, my Wooden Strat came today. Not bad for standard shipping. Looking forward to trying it out tonight. So much has come out since I last played RB3 and haven't played on a guitar in almost a year, so I'll be very rusty. Think I'll grab the Fleetwood Mac pack and maybe FF pack 4 tonight; already bought the Billy Joel Challenge pack, Band on the Run and Paradise by the Dashboard Lights last night in anticipation.

Mega-disappointment! Opened my strat box and discovered that the blue button was off the guitar and rattling around the box. RMA'ing this thing will take forever and there's not even anyone at CS now.

My green button popped off once. I put it back on quickly and it's been fine since. Is your blue actually broken? Or is it something that you just want to nip in the bud (which I totally understand)?

It looks beautiful except for that. Too bad it's made by Mad Catz.
BTW : Thank you for getting the phrase "nip in the bud" correct. Every day I'll have some mother tell me she wants to "nip this cold in the butt" and it drives me nuts.

My ex-wife got really pissed once when I corrected her on that. I probably shouldn't have laughed so much. Marriage was overrated.
