I just watched a 2008 interview with him and I think it's not that he doesn't like it, it's that he can't sing it anymore. It was done as a kind of play on Frankie Vallie and he can't hit those notes anymore.

I'd love Summer Highland Falls too, will definitely get this pack. Hope they can fit one more in...so many great songs.

He doesn't sing An Innocent Man because it's out of his range. Uptown Girl might be as well, but that doesn't explain why it's off the HITS album, when it's clearly one of his biggest hits. It may have something to do with Christie, but they're really good friends still (she's all over his Last Play At Shea documentary). I think it's just a song he doesn't like anymore.
Now Just The Way You Are is a song that brings back to many bad memories to him of his first wife (who was previously his best friend's first wife). He just feels that playing that song feels phony and he won't do it almost ever.

I did see him do Uptown Girl in concert for a Valentine's show a few years back. He preceded the show saying it's not a song they normally play but would for this date. I've NEVER seen him do Just The Way You Are, and I've seen him many, many times.

Looking at the amazon comments for the HITS album, there seem to be a few songs people think are missing, and there is speculation that this was just put out by the studio with little direct involvement from Joel.

The interview I saw had him use this as an example of songs that are technically difficult for him to do, and he went on a bit about the inspiration for the style of the song too.

Did I miss the news about RBN2.0's launch? Apparently the Anamanaguchi track "Airbrushed" is available for purchase. Links aren't published yet, so if it's available it must just be from within the game.

Actually, Eiffel 65's "Blue (Da Ba Dee)" came out as the first RBN2.0 track late last week.

I guess there have been some issues with the pipeline (evidenced by Blue being stored in the RB2 directory), so we won't see the flood of stuff for another week or so, more than likely. That flood also won't be anything near what we saw at the beginning of RBN1.0 or the end when they were cleaning house.
