Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
Guitar calibration sucks in this game. Several missed notes. Manually plugged in my RB2 numbers and all was right with the universe again.

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
I apologize if this has been asked before, but I've been seeing all this talk about RB2 export: what about RB1 and Lego RB? If you paid for those exports and the songs are already on the hard drive, do they simply show up in the song list for RB3?
Also, are there updated versions of the drums and guitar (aside from the pro guitar)? I believe you can buy cymbals for the RB2 drum set, but is there a new set being released that includes these? TIA |
Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
I want to punch whoever suggested the solo percentage not show up in solo play right in the fucking face.
I've been looking through the "goals" section quite a bit and I like it. Especially the "Famous Last Nerds" one. I wonder if those are the same for everyone. Like the "Download Populist" (or whatever) that has you play the top 5 downloaded tracks. I wonder if that shows up for me because I can do it or if it entices me to buy the remaining. |

OK, I'm not going to lie: Pro Keys on easy is kicking my ass.

Okay, here is what I got for you...
It was all done on Pro Expert. They are pretty subjective reviews since it all depends on how good you are on drums. You might find some songs I find to be frustrating to be easy, or vice versa. |

Just wish they didn't change the note highway angle so much, difficult songs that I used to 100% before are now 97s-99s |

I've always used the presets in the manual. LCD 1 has always worked perfectly for me, and RB3 was no exception.

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
I auto-calibrated with the Hofner and everything's been hunky dory for me.

do you have a receiver you feed audio & video through? I auto-calibrated with beatles gutar, and it seems off. same guitar that works great for beatles & rb2. I did notice that the auto-calibration only sent sounds out my center speaker, which makes no sense.

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
Can you now have only 1 band, or am I just missing something obvious that's on a pop up menu or tied to making more than 4 characters? Previously it was just asked if you wished to create a new band.

The answer appears to be no.

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
I know it's a rock band thread but i swear even thought i play with a GH guitar i love RB! :P
I recently made a trip to a hotel and for some reason i think i lost my dongle for my beloved GH III Les Paul PS3 guitar! Anyone know how i can get a new one that doesn't involve ebay? I really don't want to have to buy a new guitar, sucks i just bought Rock Band 3 today and i can't even play it! :( Thanks! |
Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
I find it funny that the set list pamphlet includes the songs that aren't part of the exports.

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
Blargh...the 2nd black key in my red section on my keyboard seems to not work half the time. It's like it shorts out. Doesn't register sometimes, won't stay held down others. :( Guess I'll be exchanging tomorrow. Anybody else notice any issues with keys not working?
|
Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
I haven't noticed any individual keys not working, but my first keyboard had no keys working. The "game controller" buttons at the top worked fine, but none of the keys.
But...a friend also had his keyboard, and when we synced my keyboard with his dongle, everything worked fine. So, I returned it to the store for an exchange. New one works fine. And as a pianist from high school days, I can say that learning to match up the lanes with the keys in pro mode will take a little time to get straight. I assume guitarists will have the same kind of issues once the pro guitars come out? |
Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
The website is up. First thing I did was to look up Any Way You Want It in the Songs portion to see if it mentions not being compatible. It doesn't, but it does show the song that doesn't export supports harmonies. Probably just what could have been.
http://www.rockband.com/songs/anywayyouwantit Nevermind. All the songs show harmony ratings, but don't necessarily support them. |
Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
Just tried to do the export on my PS3. Entered my code from RB2 at the site and got my download code.
Entered that code in RB under Redeem Codes....it came up as the Lego Rock Band Export Code?!?! (and then said the code was invalid if I tried to continue....) :( |

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
Has anyone tried the hi-hat pedal option? Seems like you really have to have your foot completely off the pedal.
