I'm pretty sure El Scorcho is a live recording.

Every RB track is technically different than the final studio mix because they have to mix it themselves for the game from the stems.

I can't speak for El Scorcho, but is it possible that it's the same vocal track, but it's just handled differently for the game? Maybe something is or not not audible in RB differently from the CD?

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution

Well, on the album at about 0:40 he says "come down on the street and dance with me," but in RB he says "come on down on the street and dance with me." It may just be a different vocal track that was recorded back then, if it's not live.

Yeah that line always throws me when I'm singing it. I'll play it on drums later. If I recall correctly the timing is a bit different.

Finally, listening to Pinkerton for the better part of a year pays off...

So, RockBand.com is down and to add to the joke/assumption that they're pretty lousy at being professional anymore, one of the PR peeps jokingly(?) tweets:

Sorry guys, so long as I'm sober, our website is down.

Hopefully they're finally going to fix that stupid bug that redirects you to your profile or login page. If you're logged into Facebook, no matter what page on the site you're on, you run the risk of being redirected. Makes reading the rockband.com forums in particular borderline-impossible. In fact, even if you're in the middle of reading through your profile, the page will still reload and start you off at the top. It's been like that for a while now.

Site's still down. Frisbee must have hit the power button.

Speaking of the site, I thought in the build up to launch it was revealed that we'd be able to manage our libraries online. Did I imagine that or is it a feature they announced that they never implemented.

I think they said playlists. But I haven't looked at the site enough to see if that's all there yet or not.

Good thing they "accidentally" released the DLC announcement early.

Their scooters can't handle the 2 inches of snow Boston is expecting today, so they all called in sick.

I think we can point to the inclusion of Nickelback as the source.
