Heads up:

Stealth sales/price drops/mistakes on a couple of full albums (Xbox):

Rush - Moving Pictures - 440 points (normally 880)

The Cars - self-titled - 680 points (normally 1200)

Don't know what the nature of these price drops are, so act quickly if you want them, because it may be temporary.

Wow. Normally I'd jump on deals like those...but that whole cost of upgrading legacy DLC thing gets in the way. I could see these maybe getting rereleased at some point. And if they aren't, I've still got tons of songs to play. (Neither pack is a priority for me.)

I bought Do You Wanna Date My Avatar but there is no way I am paying $3.99 for Angry Birds. It was free on my Aria and it's only 99 cents on iPhone/iPod Touch. I'll wait for the eventual "sale" on the PSN Store before getting Birds on my PS3.

And yes, I play RB3 on my PS3. I see no major difference between the 360 and PS3 version aside from the waiting period on RBN songs.

Ahh, I didn't realize there was a difference of time. I never really see anything i like on it usually so i assumed it came out on both systems at the same time.

I guess you don't play keys, then. :( Several months later, Harmonix still hasn't bothered to knock out the speaker-blowing keyboard bug on the PS3.

As far as RBN goes, it's not just a matter of waiting. Unless the 5-song-a-week cap is raised/eliminated (or RBN dies on the Xbox 360 but the PS3 is allowed to catch up), we will never get the overwhelming majority of the RBN songs. It's not mathematically possible.

Nevermind that the songs we do get are pretty wretched. Either that or I just keep random sampling shit every week. I listen to one or two and decide to go another week without caring. Last song I bought on RBN was the one from Of Montreal.

It's clear HMX goes through the motions when it comes to the PS3. So from now on I'll just go through the motions when playing Rock Band.
