That's the song that was in testing...however, I thought I heard that for some reason it was pulled indefinitely.
EDIT: From a rep for the Authoring company that was doing the track: "Issues happened beyond our control at a certain label that gave then took away permission. We are a wait and hold pattern at the present time.So hopefully we will see Teenage Dirtbag one of these days." |
Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
OK, I just picked up a Beatles Limited Addition 360 RB bundle at Game Stop for $99. I also picked up RB1, RB2, and RB Lego's used for dirt cheap. Can I load any of these songs onto my hard drive or do I have to use each specific disc to play the tracks available? Sorry if I seem confused, but I keep hearing about importing tracks or some such thing and I want to figure out the easiest way to have tracks available for play.
Thanks! |

Thanks! Rock Band can be exported at a cost of 400 points ($5). Lego Rock Band had a one-time use code for exporting, if you have that you can do it at a cost of 800 points ($10). If you don't have the code then you can't export. Rock Band 2 is only exportable for use in Rock Band 3 I believe? Although I have not checked if you can use your exported RB2 songs in RB1 or Lego: Rock Band, I wonder why you would as Rock Band 2 was the best of those 3 games. |

Thanks! RB1, RB2, and RB Lego can all be exported to the hard drive to play the songs in RB2. Or, if you pick up RB 3, you can play them all in RB3. It will cost you 800 MS points to export RB2 and RB Lego. I think the export fee for RB1 was 400 points. |

Country Track Pack 2 listing at GameStop
February 1st $29.99 Ten of the 21 songs: * Darryl Worley – Awful Beautiful Life * Gary Allan – Man of Me * George Strait – Twang * Jason Aldean – Crazy Town * Justin Moore – Backwoods * Lady Antebellum – Perfect Day * Laura Bell Bundy – Giddy on Up * Luke Bryan – Rain Is A Good Thing * Rascal Flatts – Summer Nights * Shania Twain – Party For Two (w/Billy Currington) Tracks from Keith Urban and Sugarland will also be on there. One could speculate that the remaining eleven tracks will be taken from the Going Country 04 pack and the two songs from the Alt. Country 01 pack that didn't make it onto the first Country Track Pack: Going Country 04: Dierks Bentley - "What Was I Thinkin'" Eric Church - "Hell on the Heart" Jamey Johnson - "Women" Josh Turner - "Would You Go With Me" Keith Urban - "Days Go By" Lady Antebellum - "Lookin' for a Good Time" Laura Bell Bundy - "Rebound" Reba McEntire - "Fancy" Sugarland - "It Happens" Alt. Country 01: Neko Case - "People Got a Lotta Nerve" Old 97s - "Time Bomb (Live)" There's also a Toby Keith six-pack they could pull from along with singles from Shooter Jennings and Carrie Underwood. |
Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
I would love some more country in the game.
And then some Tom Waits. That would be hilariously fun to sing! Spoiler:

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
One of the Devin Townsend Ziltoid songs went up the other day in Playtest, and it's a mess on vocals. They added this "feature" called "garbage vocals" where Ziltoid has hacked Rock Band and forces you to just say random bullshit instead of the lyrics. So fucking stupid.
They are supposedly going to reduce that drastically, but it will still be there, and it sounds like it won't be limited to just this one Ziltoid song and perhaps will be persistent across the entire album. It also includes him hacking the animations and camera system, and also sounds like they are thinking about including messing with the other charts as well. I really hate this idea, but as long as they don't screw with drums, then I don't really care too much. |

Stupid stupid STUPID |
Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
The only way it would be okay is if Ziltoid, in the actual song says something about hacking Rock Band, and even then, it should only be for like a phrase or so, anything more would just be stupid. I'd also prefer if it didn't overlap over the actual vocals.

I know Devin Townsend is crazy......but seriously?

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
well, his finger apparently smells like poop.
That's gotta do great things for the genre. |

I'm confused. Is this why Harmonix was uncommunicative for a while after the RB3 launch? Because they were trying to fight the Ziltiod worm?

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
I went to buy the Billy Joel pack this morning and only had 1510 points. Ugh. Later, I remembered I had Bing Rewards codes sitting around, so I got it. Love having all these songs. But there are some missing.

I just bought this one: http://drums-percussion.musiciansfri...one?sku=445666 It's at $90 right now, but you could probably call them up and get them to lower the price (shipping will still be free). I called them and got them to sell it to me for $80. Yeah, it's kind of expensive, but the thing's freaking rock solid & super comfortable (but still firm) and compares to the Roc-N-Socs that go for double the price. I'm a cheap guy (hell, I tried to get away with a $15 throne), but this thing was actually worth it. You could also go to a local music shop (Guitar Center) and just start sitting on thrones to see what you like. |
