This is the best pedal. I didn't even think you could buy the thing from Amazon. I got mine here, from the source:
http://www.rockpedal.com/ They sell it through Amazon now, that's why I mentioned it being out of stock there. Well, I just checked again, and it is back in stock (via Amazon fulfillment), but the price is $108. Didn't it used to be $75? |
Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
It was $75 + shipping, which was around $15 I think.

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
Interesting that RockPedal purchases now all go through Amazon. Guess it was inevitable.

Interesting! I just looked, and got the list of songs in the Pro section. However, it shows "In Library" with "No Part" listed, so they aren't available yet. Here it is:

Hmm, I'm guessing he just has never owned that song, so the 160 is just to buy it. All of them show In Library for me.

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
Yep, that sounds about right. Honestly, at that price you might be better off buying a real pedal and making the modifications yourself. Not sure if there would be a decent amount of savings or not. I think the pedal by itself runs about $75, and then probably another $5 for the sensor and cable.

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
I wish they'd have offered a bigger pack including the studio version of Jet. And Live and Let Die. But I'll grab all of the ones they're offering.

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
All of Macca + Siouxsie and the Banshees shall be mine. Oh quite so.
Helen Wheels is gonna be particularly fun to play. |
Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
I guess I should realize that for my $2 I'd be getting not just a studio version, but a version with harmonies and keys.
|
Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
I'm more or less contractually obligated in my household to pick up the Siouxsie track.
|
Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
I'll probably pass on the Paul.

Hey Guys: We’re happy to confirm the news today that the sale of the company is complete. We appreciate all of your support, comments and warm wishes in the preceding few weeks. Viacom and MTV Networks have been an amazing home for us over the past 4 years. It’s where we launched both Rock Band and Dance Central, worked with The Beatles, Green Day, AC/DC, The Who and thousands of other artists. We want to take a moment to thank everyone in that organization who helped make these awesome games possible. We’re excited to be returning to our roots as an independent and privately owned studio. As for what it means for you, the DLC schedule marches on for Rock Band, we will continue our support of previously released titles and we’re hard at work on some unannounced projects that we think you’re going to be pumped about. Thanks for your continued support and stay tuned for more information here on RockBand.com, over @RockBand on Twitter and at http://www.facebook.com/RockBand. Yours, Harmonix I think that it's great that HMX has been sold to themselves. That's the best scenario, IMO. |

Awesome!

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
I wonder if this means there will be a Rock Band 4, or if they will keep RB3 as their "platform" and just focus on DLC.

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
I'm admittedly ignorant about the legal and music rights issues involved with this, but tell me if this is unreasonable to assume:
That they still have the "rights" to make Rock Band 4, and that all previous DLC will be transferable to RB4. Same applies for Dance Central. |
Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
I don't know how I feel about this. Without the clout of the big parent, can they continue to get top-name DLC deals?
|
Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
Agreed. However, since they're now essentially owned by themselves, and since Rock Band is an established brand/concept, if they couldn't offer artists a bigger share of the profits from DLC.
