Dished out my first 1 lighter rating last night. That HIM song is fucking terrible. Who invited those guys?
I have dished out several one lighters so far and even a lot of twos. I have not been very impressed with the song selection so far on the groups I have never heard of. Anyone know if they actually track the votes (lighters) people give songs? Just curious if that would help get some more (or prevent) DLC of a certain artist. |

I think they should have the band start out in Canada, and need to work their asses off just to be able to play outside of shitty clubs in Winnipeg or Edmonton. Then once they make it big playing the Saddledome or Air Canada Centre they start playing shows in the states, but they are back to little clubs filled with the few Canadians in those towns and they have to claw their way back to the top. Unless your name is Celine or Justin, then you just start out massive.

Then again, I'm sure cable/dish companies track what you watch through your set-top boxes. Why those aren't counted in ratings is beyond me. |
Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
Even with all of my DLC, I have not rated anything yet. The reason for this is because it's rated per song, and not per instrument. There are plenty of songs that I don't care for on guitar, but are fun on vocals, or vice versa.
Maybe RB4 will have this feature. |

I'm sure they track it, but I doubt it'll influence DLC contracts much.

Gotta have a Nielson-branded copy of RB3 for it to count.

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
Bee Gees is a bit of a letdown after Doors, Bon Jovi and Billy Joel. Led Zeppelin, U2 , GnR Appetite for Destruction, heck even a Skid Row pack would have been better.

I don't recall anyone here saying "Now I have the Bee Gees Greatest Hits, I won't be wanting any Led Zep anymore". Some of us would like to have some of those songs in our collections, that's all.

Thanks, "Silver" (y'know, the Pixies song), for letting me achieve lots of goals I really have no business winning whatsoever.
