What if whoever published Powergig: Rise of the Six String takes all the money they made from that title and purchases Harmonix?

You mean this guy?

All $1800 of it? ;)
I think they'd need quite a bit more to buy Harmonix.

Also, the Barry Gibb Talk Show theme would have been EPIC! Maybe we can get that with some "What's Up With that?"

Hell, toss in "Magical Mysteries" by Thrilla Killa Klownz and make it an SNL three-pack.

Spoiler:
R.I.P. "Ass" Dan
Spoiler:
And DJ Supersoak

Excellent! I was trying to think of a 3rd, but I couldn't. That's perfect.

Ass Dan's kids look just like Ass Dan. And my two kids look just like Ass Dan.

I'd buy "King Tut" in a heartbeat. For realz.

What about those crazy, cooky Star Wars?

Hell yeah. I'd buy 'em all.

RB needs more fun, off-the-wall tracks like that.

Steve Martin's still performing King Tut, even--it's just a little more bluegrass these days:

Awesome.

 Bee Gees. I won't be playing them solo, but the ladies usually pick Pop songs at our parties. These should go over very well.

Also, perhaps I'm just being too cynical, but the HMX sale makes me thing the Squire might be scrapped. Hope I'm wrong about that.

Why? It's more of a Fender thing than a Harmonix thing.

It takes the sale of HMX to get us to more than 2 pages in a day. For shame.

Yeah, but this forum has more than one giant thread for every game ever.

One thread forums are the best. :)

It allows me to keep up with everything said without jumping all over the place and splintering conversations.

Here's how holiday sales conversations will now go...

Grandma: Hi I'd like to buy the PS3 bundle for my grandson.
Store clerk: There is no PS3 bundle. The company got sold. No more Rock Band.

Grandma buys Power Gig.

Ha, those are the two songs on the list that I don't know. At least, not by name. I'll probably pick up the whole pack though, because they're sure to be crowd-pleasers.

Both of those songs are massive "grab your nuts and scream the falsetto" type songs...but they are catchy and fun to sing to...at least to me they are. :)

Can these actions be done by two different people?

dumb questions, but are the GS cutoffs in RB3 now higher cause of the increased overdrive?

Pretty impressive live. I don't give a shit what anyone says, the Bee Gees were fucking awesome. I took a lot of hell for it in high school and college but it's funny how opinion has come around.

Gold stars seem to be a lot easier to get (at least on guitar), unless the songs has a long solo. The solo bonus is definitely less in RB3.

Reason i ask is in 3Dimes Down by Drive By Truckers (my favorite country song in the game), GS cutoff used to by around 95k on Guitar i thought, and I just got 120k and no Gold Stars....

Edit.. Here is a video from 09 showing the 95k GS for Guitar

You're saying they changed the scale from 100 points per note at 100%?

Then I guess that answers your question. :)

If a song has a lengthy solo, you pretty much have to 100% the solo for any chance of Gold Stars now.

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution

I'm going to be quite upset if this goes to MS who makes it exclusive. All the money I spent on the new controllers and such, and waiting on the fender. I know the fender is more by fender, but if they are told they can't release it for ps3 then I will be pissed. If ms does this if they get it I refuse to ever buy an MS system for that reason only.
